Apple Silicon iMac & MacBook Pro expected in 2021, 32-core Mac Pro in 2022

And were did you see that? The M1 chip has a custom SSD controller, That does not make it PCIe4. Unless you think that USB4 is the same, and it is not.

Google Chrome for Apple Silicon M1 Macs arriving on Wednesday
philboogie said:Good to see yet another developer releasing updated software for the M1. But why would anyone prefer Chrome over Safari? (<serious question)
Chrome had the bad episode of bricking Macs by putting files were they don't belong. Hope they do better testing this time.

Apple ordered to pay VirnetX $503M for infringing patents
flydog said:ThinkmanDuv said:Unbelievable……VirnetX is a known serial offender ALWAYS litigating in TEXAS, where the accused always ALWAYS ALWAYS loses. No doubt Apple will win on appeal. Talk about a situation the Congress should be looking into that might actually fall under their purview, rather than badgering Tech companies with issues of which they have little or no understanding!
This is like your copier can't send the copy by fax to anyone without paying me. That hit the fan some ago.

House Judiciary says Apple enjoys monopoly power with App Store
lam92103 said:Excellent news! Any other industry and the execs would have already been in jail. Imagine a car company telling you that you have to buy all accessories from their store, and ones bought from anywhere else will just not work. And the makers have to get their products approved before they can be sold, by a somewhat arbitrary set of rules, and they have to pay 30% to the car manufacturer commission.
One word Audi. Just try to replace the audio amp with a new one.
