Well said. I don't want any apps tracking/harvesting my family for profit either, Steve.

I also trust Apple. I'm happy to send Apple my device(s) information to help them better resolve problems. I know they won't sell it.

But I have to say, I don't trust Apple's App Store. Am I being naive?

I've turned off, "Share With App Developers..." in my settings (Analytics) of all my devices. iOS and MacOS!

I only use Apple first-party apps. No third-party apps. 

I use DuckDuckGo, AppleMaps, etc. No Google apps, FaceBook apps, eg., Instagram, WhatsApp, etc., or Twitter.

Am I being an alarmist?

I don't have any third-party apps on my devices. 

I think the App Store should have a Russian flag icon for all those apps designed in Russia and a Chinese flag for all those designed in China. 

There needs to be a 'Good Housekeeping' seal of approval, where all apps that don't harvest, refine and sell your data get a little logo next to it!

Apple should put out a Beta, FaceBook-like App, a YouTube-like App, Twitter-like app and just let them grow organically. And advertise/market the Privacy aspect of their offerings!

Two words, "Platform agnostic." This is the future as the cable model goes bye-bye. And not soon enough for me!

I just want an 8K 100" TV for $999 with an AppleTV (one f'ing remote). I'll then search and 'rent' everything from Apple.

NetFlix's, Youtube's interfaces are crap and so is 90% oft their respective content.

I don't go to the 'Movies' anymore, the experience is appalling with everyone eating their popcorn, soda's and nachos like donkey's. I'd much rather stay at home!

P.S. Why do American's insist on eating everything with their fingers?

The problem is, you don't know exactly how much data is being mined and what happens to the data afterwards.

1. 'Harvested' (5 septillion bytes, per day on everyone),

2. 'Distilled/refined'

and, 

3. 'Sold.'

4. 90% of all data harvested, has been harvested in the last two years.

5. The first three companies to acquire 1 billion users were Google, Facebook and Yahoo. Companies whose business model is to harvest personal data and the data of all your friends and sell it!
