  • Eight Siri features we want to see in iOS 12, macOS 10.14, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12 at WWDC ...

That’s it? This is a very lame list of suggestions.  What about making Siri actually smart instead of just responding to your questions? She doesn’t learn anything at the moment.

The only smart feature that is currently available I can think of is travel time alerts for appointments, as they take traffic conditions into account. Otherwise she’s dumb as f...

One small example: I ask her directions to a store. Siri, in all her wisdom, suggests a store on the other side of the world. So I lookup the store by typing the name. Two minutes later I ask Siri again and she again points me to the other side of the world. She’s not learning anything and remains as frustrating to deal with.

I don’t know about Alexa or google Home as I don’t use those but Siri is not “behind” in terms of capabilities, she’s just not smart. By a long stretch.

iTunes is an unmitigated disaster. It's about as intuitive as Microsoft Access.
Try thinking for yourself instead of parroting tech blogs. iTunes is just fine for most users, millions and millions of users.
Glad you still like it, but I don't know anybody who uses iTunes because he thinks it's a great piece of software. Only because it's needed to sync/configure iPhones. Some friends that tried the Apple Music trial used it but quickly moved away because it was too confusing / crashed at startup / songs were deleted from iCloud / etc. So no... it's not "just fine" for most users. I use it because I have Apple Music, but I'm definitely not a fan of the confusing interface.

  • Mystery Apple 'wireless device' turns out to be door access system

the smart locks currently available are either very unreliable, very ugly or not compatible with Homekit. No wonder they develop something themselves. Too bad they're not selling it, would do so immediately.

  • French company sues Apple over incomplete HTML5 support on iOS, macOS Safari

This is typical behavior of socialists. They feel like they deserve something so they sic the government on people and companies to force them at gunpoint to pay more in taxes or follow certain laws to create in their minds an "even" playing field rather than compete

Your grasp on socialism deserves the most ignorant post of the day award. Let me guess. American?

  • Apple brings Maps transit coverage to Prague in Czech Republic

I just don't understand Apple's priorities any more.

In one of the biggest metropolitan areas in the US, namely Phoenix, there is still no transit info available in either iOS Maps or Mac OS X Maps. How is it that Apple thumps its chest for getting overseas locales up and running as a priority but doesn't remedy its gaping data hole in one of the largest US metro areas?

Thank jah for Google Maps, TomTom and a few other iOS transit apps. Otherwise, I'd be sunk trying to get around.

    Ridiculous! Thanks, Apple!

Why would Apple prioritise Phoenix over Prague? Maps is an international product so good for them for rolling out the service in mayor international hubs and destinations.
