that's the key right there. you force a backdoor and the criminals etc will just find a different way to talk. likely while they are working to hack the backdoors and steal tons of info. 

oh my lord, how did the FBI etc ever solve any cases before the age of everyone putting everything on their smart phone in a nice neat package.

Exactly. What's funny is half the folks out there would be furious that there's a new one just a year later

honestly this is like the fifth time this has happened. I really don't see why Apple keeps pushing software that far back. Just release it for the new hardware and 2-3 back and screw folks that are mad that they aren't getting the latest tricks. They can get them when they update their hardware. Course that would probably get them sued as well

Nope its not. The battery lasts all day if you aren't some wanker who has to be on it all the damn time. Apple didn't design the iPhone to be practically attached to your face and most folks don't treat it like that. 

If anything this is designed for those folks that can't put their phone away and want to cry and whine about how their phone only lasts 8 hours. Why shouldn't Apple make a bit more money off them.
