    I'm not disputing your experience, but just saying that I have the same usage scenarios and do not experience those problems. USB3 drive connected, and was never disconnected during sleep/wake up cycle. Windows 10 on a Bootcamp partition works fine with the same USB3 attached, along with a Thunderbolt 2 storage (with Thunderbolt 3 adapter) attached.

    I have the 10 core, and I immediately noticed a drastic improvement in video transcodong. 1080p now pretty much happens in faster-than-real-time.

    I checked and am not experiencing this issue at all.

    Because I would never put a damn Google device in my house. Or an Amazon one. It's unbelievable how stupid people are about this stuff. If you told them "Facebook will sell you a video camera for the inside of your house", they'd get the point. But they will buy devices with active microphones from companies whose whole business model is the commercialize information about you. Yeah, I know the Chromecast doesn't have a microphone. It's still from a company who makes 99% of its money by tracking you.

  • Apple begins shipping first iMac Pro orders

    Mine is set to arrive on December 28th. So Apple kept its schedule of "Available in December".

    And can people seriously stop complaining that this machine isn't upgradable? 99.9% of people in the world never make a single hardware change to their computer. Just because we live in the 0.1% group who do doesn't mean designers should cater every damn computer to us.

    AirPods are, without a doubt, one of the best products ever made by Apple. I'm still pissed at myself for waiting a whole year before getting them. I'll never get that time back!
