Can you please clarify:
Were tests connected with the eGPU driving a display, or are all results just the eGPU puck connected to machines?
Were any headless adapters used?

All my testing with AMD 5700XT inside a Sonnet Breakway Box eGPU shows physical displays or headless adapters of some kind really need to be used to take "full" advantage for acceleration vs. any internal dGPU's in Intel MBP16,1 and iMac19,1.  Driving "nothing" with literally nothing plugged into the DP/HDMI ports is marginal benefit at best.

If it works like the Western Digital My Wireless Pro, you can hook a card reader up to the USB slot and it will work the same as SD card slot.  If XQD, CF/CFII are necessary.  

Mostly looks like Lacie's version of the Western Digital My Passport Wireless Pro with SATA SSD instead of HDD.

Realize we'll be in a different state of the pandemic by this summer, but seriously 50K people in an indoor setting?  Public health folks must be cringing.  Will be difficult for people from the USA to attend with current travel restrictions, might be easier for those already in Europe.  Personally will not attend any conference like this in 2021, vaccinated or not.  Entirely outdoors with open air and it might be a different story.
