No reason to believe this will actually happen until eGPU is actually supported on the latest versions of macOS.

For all the companies trying to get back to in-person operations, exposure notification on work devices will be required by your liability insurance policies unless better tracking mechanisms are implemented.  It is cheap and easy to deploy to an office that has everyone using a mobile device.  The scan keycard systems that support contact tracing are not widely used outside of very large companies with large offices.

Maybe check with your homeowners or work insurance policy to see if they will cover any resulting fires from 16 of these stacked on one outlet.

While it did survive, Adobe abandoned Premiere 7.0 / Premiere Pro CS / 1.0 for Mac in 2003/2004 while they re-wrote the entire program for Intel CPUs.  Was not available on Mac again until CS3 in 2007.  Some would argue it was not really "useable" in a professional capacity until CS5.5 or CS6 which happened to be around the same time Apple abandoned FCP7 in favor of FCP-X.

The "demo" of Adobe products on macOS Big Sur was the ported iOS/iPadOS versions of Photoshop and Lightroom.
