  • The Mac startup chime is making a return in macOS Big Sur

You mean like MS Office and the Adobe Suite?
The full Adobe suite would be a start - including Media Encoder, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, InDesign, etc.  Not just showing an iOS/iPadOS port of Photoshop and Lightroom apps which are very limited vs. their desktop counterparts.  Illustrator for iPad still isn't publicly available and has been delayed several times.  Blackmagic Davinci Resolve, Cinema4D, Avid ProTools...

Great.  Let us know when professional focused third party apps start working 100% normally and then I'll get to hear it first hand, I guess.

  • CES 2020: Best of hardware, peripherals, and Mac accessories

How is the Akitio Node Titan ANY better than a Sonnet eGFX 650 OC (GPU-650WOC-TB3)?  That specific model provides 100W power delivery and works flawlessly with MBP16,1 by providing the FULL amount of power needed to power the computer without draining battery.  Equivalent to 750W recommended system power and supports up to 375W card that also requires up to an additional 100W of peak power.

  • OWC Accelsior 4M2 offers 8TB 6GB/s storage upgrades for Mac Pro

This product basically requires their SoftRAID software and it's only an x8 card!  Get the HighPoint 7101 or Sonnet M.2 4x4.  Both are x16 and more customizable without relying on SoftRAID.  SoftRAID Version 6 has been delayed for months and still does not work correctly in Mojave, let alone Catalina...

I can image some passengers who would be inconvenienced to the extreme, for most passengers, carry-on of a computer is standard practice.

I did meet one passenger once, a professional photographer/videographer, who would have to check his vast array of equipment. I would expect airlines have procedures to handle passengers like this.
Unfortunately, the majority do not have a great procedure to handle professionals traveling with any forms of electronic equipment.  This is mostly due to their insurance limits at $3k/bag maximum (good luck actually getting that).  FedEx is often the better option for most domestic travel (even if more expensive).  Overall, it's become a major pain to travel by air for video work in the past 5-10 years.
