  • Why you shouldn't worry about radiation from your Wi-Fi router or iPhone

I think this article misunderstands science, which is a way of investigating the world, rather than a producer of facts. Science tells us that wireless signals won't likely harm us from ionizing radiation. However, that's not the same thing as wireless signals being harmless. Science can only tell us about things that we've investigated. That's why it's so interesting — because we're always learning new things. That said, you have to pick what you're going to worry about, and wireless signals is pretty low on my list.

  • Apple hit with class action suit over MacBook, MacBook Pro butterfly switch keyboard failu...

The keyboard is fine to type on. It's not quite as good as the previous keyboard, but alone that wouldn't bother me. However, even when the keys don't outright fail, they get stuck easily from dust, and when the processor gets warm, the keys get sticky. It's a poorly designed keyboard from a durability perspective, and Apple made a mistake in this case. What bothers me is that they knew the keyboard was flaky, and they still put it in the MacBook Pro 2016.

  • 2016 MacBook Pro butterfly keyboards failing twice as frequently as older models

I got the keyboard replaced for my 2016 MBP with touchbar, and this new keyboard is a LOT better, but I worry that it's just a matter of time before it fails. Also, I'm be surprised if the failure rate were only 10%. It also depends on what 'failure' means. If someone needs to come into an Apple Store and have an employee blow the key out with compressed air, does that count as a failure? I think there's just a lot of people out there who live with broken or poorly performance things because they don't have the time/energy/pickiness to fix it. They just hit the key harder, use compressed air, or accept that sometimes the keys don't work.

  • iOS 11 now installed on 76% of compatible devices, up 11% since January

This is a true advantage Apple's iOS has over Android. I think they've damaged their advantage somewhat by the number of bugs in iOS 11, especially early on. I hope that iOS 12 is released with significantly less negative drama. Still, Apple should be commended for this upgrade rate. It's awesome, and part of what makes it so much more secure than Android.

Pretty much every car has CarPlay now. Wake me up when they support wireless CarPlay (in conjunction with a wireless charging pad so you just throw your phone on the pad and it charges while CarPlay does its thing).
I don't know why tech writers are so oblivious that they don't thinking noting whether CarPlay is wired or wireless is important. If not the title, the article.
Wouldn't it be great if we got all the information on that in advance? Sure would.
Ideally, a reporter would ask that question of the manufacturer and report back on the result. If they don't reply, the reporter can write that it is unknown, and attempt to follow up. I realize that time is limited, but good reporting would improve your site, at least for me.
