Supply chain sources again point to Apple's 'iPhone 7 Plus' having 3GB of RAM

Or are they just trying to line the pockets of themselves and the iPhone ecosystem by forcing people to yet again buy more cable adapters.By the way, I love Apple, I always have. I just question how this is a benefit to their customers. -
Apple preparing $7 billion U.S. bond sale to support stock buyback program
gmgravytrain said:I really don't understand Apple's at all. They seem to keep doing what no one wants them to do.
Leave it at that.
Hey, aren't you the same guy posting on Jul 20 parading MSFT victory banners while pissing on AAPL's cheerios?
I believe you used the phrase "Apple is doomed".
You are a piece of work.

'Solid' forecast from Apple chipmaker Skyworks may bode well for 'iPhone 7' production
mjhnl said:Secondly I would love to hear you again after Tuesday when Apple will show a decline in every hardware category they're in.
If you want to own up to your statement then be more specific...what do you mean by a "decline"? Market share, profitability, ASP, unit sales?
Nobody questions that there will be market share decline Q/Q or Y/Y...and if because of seasonality or launch cycles then profitability is not as dire as you wildly proclaim.
There's something called ecosystem and strategy which smooths out profit fluctuations...you should read about it and then comment on that.
Please enlighten us with statistics showing all the switchers from iOS/OSX to other platforms....it's hard to believe they'll recover the amount of customers they're losing every day.
...yah, I didn't think so. -
Despite 9% growth, Microsoft Surface sales remain stuck at around 1M units
gmgravytrain said:Microsoft up 4% after-hours on earnings. As far as Wall Street is concerned, Microsoft's Azure Cloud Services business has far greater potential than Apple's iPad business. Let's see what Apple does on earnings. I'd bet Apple misses expectations and the stock goes down at least 4%. As it is, analysts believe Apple's P/E is too high at 10.x while Microsoft's P/E is totally acceptable at 42. It appears as though Tim Cook has pretty much turned Apple into a losing investment with Microsoft easily being valued higher than Apple. Even Microsoft's failures end up pulling in more investors than Apple's successes. That's how it is, so you'd better get used to Apple remaining doomed.
- Don't see how you can compare the business potential of Azure vs iPad. Two very different segments. Each are important in their own ways.
- Ridiculous to compare how shares are traded between MSFT and AAPL, especially before/after earnings.
- Tim Cook turned Apple into a losing investment?...so are you saying the share price is lower since 2011 when he became CEO?
- Interesting, you know the inner musings of analysts to know that Apple's PE is too high at 11 vs MSFT at 42.
It must be mythologically wonderful to know everything.
Oh, yes...doomed. Like that hasn't been said before. -
Apple picks up Tesla's former VP of Vehicle Engineering for 'special projects'
ericthehalfbee said:radarthekat said:Or all of Tesla. Apple has the resources to ramp up Tesla production and get those Model 3 orders filled. Hmm.
Apple wouldn't make a car like Tesla. Musk is concerned with flash and not substance.
If the iPhone was a car it would be like a sports sedan. Room for 5 adults, lots of cargo space, well-equipped with all sorts of useful luxury features (not gimmicks) and great all-round performance. Not to mention an excellent user interface (ergonomics) designed around not only the driver but the passengers as well.
But I'm going to predict that Apple may start with more of a 1-2 person vehicle.
Smaller, lighter, less than highway speeds, autonomous if needed...and covered, comfortable and will proliferate amongst city streets.
Then will go to larger cars and vehicles.
