Rumored 15-inch MacBook Air release could be in April or May
Americans are always blind-sided by a desire to have everything bigger. The MBA is designed to be small, light and fit in an envelope. A "15-inch" MBA would be a similar crime against sensibilities as the Mac Studio. We don't need another monstrous carbuncle. Apple has soiled it reputation enough. Small. light, thin and great battery life. If you want a bigger display just plug it into one. If these rumours are true, it appears even common sense is in short supply at Apple. -
Cook praises 'symbiotic' 30-year relationship with China
This discussion demonstrates how well the right-wing media in the US is controlled.
It is easy to be anti-Russia at the moment because it is waging a popular war against Ukraine. Should I mention Vietnam or Iraq or countless other US interventions, including false-flag to provoke other wars?
But what is that to do with Tim Cook's visit to China, the country, not at war, that supplies most of Apple's products?
The recent Tiktok US Congress debacle was worthy of McCarthy.
Even dictators govern by consent. How a government obtains that consent is questionable. It still looks very questionable in the US to me - it appears to be a dictatorship of big money.

An unprecedented look into TSMC gives insight into iPhone chip production
"A in-person visit" should be "An in-person visit".
"$450 for a one-bedroom." should be "$450 for a one-bedroom apartment."
On the subject of the matter, the comment that American engineers regard TSMC's working conditions as "sweatshop", we in the UK would have the same comment about US work and pay - long hours and little annual paid holiday. Then the average European would think the same about us in the UK. It appears there is a hierarchy. It is probably best to be a worker in Spain or France where the hours are short, they have siestas, 6 weeks+ annual paid holiday, a high statutory minimum wage, early retirement and very generous pensions. If you are the owner of a business, the opposite is true. Working conditions in Taiwan are like those in the UK 100 years ago and the US is somewhere in between. -
M2 Pro Mac mini review: Best price to performance Apple Silicon yet
In reality, the M2 is just a better bin of the M1with more cores activated and then run at a slightly higher speed.
The 'Mac Studio' is a design monstrosity which should never have existed. It does due to the very late-running Apple-silicon Mac Pro. It is an Apple episode best forgotten. The Mac Mini M2 Pro is what Apple should have released instead. -
Mac mini with M2 review: More power for less money
cgWerks said:I thought I read somewhere that the M2 Studio wasn’t expected until 2024 now. I think all the timelines are thrown off. I hope that is wrong.
I would expect the Studio to be quietly dropped in a year or so. It was a sticking-plaster solution until the new Mac Pro range appeared. No doubt they will be collected and appreciated by their aficionados, much like the Cube, for years to come. The Studio is a monstrous carbuncle of design that never should have happened. Besides, with a beefed-up Mini Pro and the imminent Mac Pro, there is no commercial space for it in the lineup, at least not beneficial to Apple. Apple would much rather sell you a cheap-to-make top-end Mini or an over-priced, bottom-end Mac Pro.
