  • Apple hires former head of Amazon's Fire TV unit to lead Apple TV operations

What exactly does Eddy Cue do at Apple? Seems like everyone is take over his jobs little by little.

  • Apple offers $199.99 Pro Apps Bundle for Education, including Final Cut Pro X, Logic Pro X...

Just a thought here...how is Apple gonna make sure people not affiliated with or attending any school don't fraudulently sign up to this deal?
The same way they check for Educational Mac purchases...they simply don't check if you use the Apple Online Store for education.

  • Apple denies imminent iPhone 6 battery exchange program in the works

They need a better program for the 6S...the current program is a complete cluster fu$*! Nobody knows what to do, even if you call the Apple Store they really don't know how to handle it. The batteries are never available and apparently Apple assumes everyone lives next or near to an Apple Retail Store. The entire process is horrible.

They will most likely have 32GB as an option. What limited the 2016 MBP was the processor also.
I thought the issue was power consumption of the larger memory chips causing unacceptable battery drain. Given the battery life issues they've been having I'm sure they're not too keen to add another potential issue.

Apple has historically charged a premium for memory upgrades in it's computers - I have no reason to expect that to change should they add a 32GB option; the fact that all the memory is soldered in place just means that you don't have the option of getting an aftermarket upgrade like you can with an iMac.
This issue was the processor/chipset combination Apple had to use in the 2016 MacBook Pro doesn't support LPDDR4 RAM so they had to use LPDDR3 RAM which makes it so they cannot offer 32GB of RAM due to limitations of LPDDR3. They could have used DDR4 RAM, but then it would have sacrificed battery life so Apple chose to keep its 10hr battery life claim instead of offering 32GB of RAM using more power hungry RAM.

  • Apple says hidden Safari setting led to flawed Consumer Reports MacBook Pro battery tests

Why the hell would CR mess with any settings? Just take the damn thing out of the box and test it as is. I don't trust CR anyways. I'm sure they'll cover their ass and just blame it on Apple. I've always said these issues are most likely software issues with the battery. I seriously doubt Apple would release a laptop thats very well noted for its battery life with something else that gets half or worse the amount of battery life. Apple is one of the few you can actually rely on for accurate battery life.
