Not sure there is any way to answer the question. The specific Xeon, the operation type, and the amount of emulation overhead are just a couple of major factors. And then there's real world and actual OS usage and then application usage in the emulated environment. Or you might be able to demonstrate something but with too many footnotes to be useful for straightforward comparison.

That said, it'll be interesting to see how Apple and Intel do respond to the bottleneck. It's really hard to remain subject to someone else's product cycle. Apple can drive hardware innovation in a lot of their best sellers but reliance on Intel processors ties Apple to Intel's roadmap for a few of their major products.

This is what makes the court so exciting to watch. Each side in the litigation has their own views on what is basis of the matter. The judges don't just hear the facts and make a decision. They get to ask questions and try to listen for what they feel may be at stake. Sometimes they seem to evade what most of us believe are consequential matters (such as patent law clarity, in this case). Regardless of what you feel about the outcome, jurisprudence is hard and humbling work.

It's a great update. It's working very well for me. If my own experience is a good example, iMessage will leapfrog the competition with first-party integration of all the services, stickers, etc. Other apps, even the entrenched ones -- FB Messengers, What's App, etc. -- aren't going to build their own platforms on iOS as well as Apple can.

Fine on 5S. Progress bar progressed at least twice with a very long hang at the very end. I started to wonder whether it was going to finish but it did, went through one more time then finished!
