Apple has more money parked off-shore than it knows what to do with. McLaren would be a good strategic purchase because it would provide access to a great source of design and engineering talent that would cross-fertilize what Apple has already.

Not sure, but very small. These are all hand-made, with prices to match. However, the engineering is second-to-none.

One thing to note is that vendors in the U.S. are also selling knockoff chargers as GENUINE Apple products. And it's not just third-party sellers at Amazon. Some of the "sold by Amazon" ones were fake. This may have been fixed now that Apple has sued some people - I don't know. But it was commonplace a couple of years back.

So you want Amazon to personally certify everything sold? From the OP they removed selling privileges when informed by Apple. Which seems to be a good action.

I complained to Amazon about this a couple of years ago. They blew me off then. 

I guess it takes a sledgehammer on the foot to get Amazon's attention. Customer complaints don't matter.
