Admittedly it works extremely well with HomeKit  BUT I would argue that it’s only a 4 star device due to it’s ugly design and it’s touch screen slider controls that are incredibly hard to adjust with finesse.  If only NEST would integrate better with HomeKit and also had the follow me mode….

That’s OK because I have no interest in supporting a company who panders to communist China and who also treats their domestic employees “cast members” with such disdain. It’s really too bad because I like a lot of their content. Every time they buy up something like Marvel Comics it makes me angry. I’ll watch the movies from Netflix if and when I can get it but I will not knowingly or directly give my money to Disney. 

I’m glad I have this thermostat and that it already integrates so well with HomeKit. Now if only ecobee would design a prettier thermostat similar to the nest. You have to admit the ecobee is pretty ugly looking on the wall and it’s interface is clunky. 

Lacking the U1 is a bit disappointing but I’d rather it have wireless charging.  It would be super cool to be able to plop it down on a Qi charging pad or MagSafe.  As it is now I keep a charger and cable tucked under my couch.  It’s useless until I need to fish it out to charge my AppleTV remote.
