Apple fixes Apple Watch rings issue with watchOS 5.0.1 update
anome said:Inaccurate recording of exercise minutes? Since iOS 5, I thought my watch was working much more accurately. I used to go for a 20-30 minute walk around town before my bus in the morning, and it would sometimes only recognise 5 minutes of exercise. Now it prompts me after 10 minutes to record it as a workout, and often shows the full walk as exercise. It's not like I'm taking a slow stroll - I'm mainly doing it for exercise.
Now I'm worried that after this update it will go back to saying I only got 5 minutes of exercise.

Ad firms losing 'hundreds of millions' after Apple clamps down on Safari tracking
As long as home ISPs give data caps, unless you are paying me to download and watch your ad, I will block them in most cases.
Granted ads aren't 'huge' but some sites are lousy with them. There was another Apple fansite I used to visit that Ad Blocker would block upwards of SIXTY ADS before the actual non-ad content loaded. That is outrageous. -
Apple says 'looking into' video of apparent iPhone 7 Plus meltdown
movingincircles said:Interesting. I was at the Apple Store Genius Bar last week. Saw a customer with an iPhone 7 plus. He said his phone was next to his bed charging and he saw it randomly reboot. Unfortunately the iPhone never got pass the Apple logo screen and he said the phone felt really warm even after unplugging it from the charger. The genius guy couldn't get it to restore. I was finished with my appointment before I saw what the Genius did to help the guy.

Class-action suit demands Apple add lock-out system to iPhone to prevent texting while dri...
They just want the payout. If it was about safety, they'd be suing every phone manufacturer. Android-based phones don't do a lock out, Windows-based phones don't do a lock out. Hell, even most GPS devices don't do lockouts. You get a pop-up warning that you can easily click "OK" on and go about doing everything you shouldn't be doing.
As a previous poster said, it is the person's responsibility. However, in this case, the 'person' probably didn't have enough money to satisfy the family suffering the loss, and they figured the deep Apple pockets would make them happier.
