  • How Apple Savings compares vs other high-yield savings accounts

Any word on how quickly the money becomes available for withdrawal after you transfer it into Savings? I added money on Tuesday 4/18 and it is still not available to be withdrawn. I read somewhere that it said “a few days” but is looking more like a week which is fine, I just would like to know it will be 7 - x days.
Usually when you first open a savings account, your initial deposit will be restricted from being able to withdraw for something like 10 days. I can't remember if this is a government-imposed restriction or if banks have just settled on doing it this way, but it's been the case with every account I've opened in the last 25 years.

Once you clear that 10 days, I imagine outgoing transfers will probably take 2-3 days.

  • TikTok has a plan to avoid getting banned in the US

I deleted my TikTok account months ago, and even then was only a TikTok user for about a year prior.

It was a cesspool of misinformation and toxic to a degree that it started affecting my mental health.  It brings out the ugliness of people.

While I’m not necessarily a fan of government oversight, I believe the CCP definitely has an agenda with messing with the brains of those users.  The CEO is full of BS.
I've found it to be the exact opposite. With that said, the videos you get shown by the algorithm are chosen based on the accounts you follow, the videos you've liked and commented, and also videos you watch. If you watch and interact with negative posts, you're going to get shown more of them. I guess I just watch wholesome content and do my best to ignore the toxic stuff when it comes up 🤷

  • You can get a prorated Twitterific & Tweetbot refund, but please don't

My (limited) understanding of this is that they were using the old 'version 1' Twitter API which Twitter had told people not to use for quite some time.
Now I believe these app developers did complain that the 'version 2' api was a step backwards in their view, but twitters policy of using api2 did jot change. On top of that, these apps didn't display ads (the thing that pays for Twitter).  All of this was pre-Elon.
Tweetbot was using the v2 API since it was rolled out. I would assume Twitterific and most of the other similar apps were doing the same, certainly by January of 2023.

As for ads not displaying, that was on Twitter and what they included in their API, not the apps. If Elon really wanted that ad money, he could have put the ads into the API feed for Tweetbot/etc., but that's not what he in his """""infinite wisdom""""" decided to do.

  • Apple's MagSafe wallet review: finally solves the unified iPhone and wallet issue

I tried the wallets out at a store last week and found they come loose with a comically small amount of applied pressure or shaking. I tried different wallets on the bare phone and with a couple of cases on, just to make sure it wasn't the specific wallet or case, and the things just fall off. I could not possibly trust one of these, in their current state, considering its ostensible task.

Since when do we ever presume that a drawing in a patent application is indicative of an actual product design?
There's at least 9 different variations in the application, one of which is the one that was ultimately used.
