Begs the question: What happens if someone pops in a pair of NVIDIA Titan RTX GPUs into this chrome monstrosity? Will Apple allow NVIDIA graphics drivers to live in their AMD centric world? If not, that kind of puts a damper on future upgradability. RTX hardware ray traces six times faster than non-RTX GPUs, all other things being equal.

The A8 CPU was one year old when the 6th generation iPod Touch was released. The new 7th generation iPod Touch slipped an entire year with its 2.5 year old A10 CPU. On top of that, Apple is charging $200 for the 256 GB upgrade. A much faster 256 GB M.2 sells for $40. The Hubris is strong with this one. Apple asked "we have to update the iPod Touch so it can run iOS 13, what is the least we can do?" The 7th generation is the answer to that question.

The new Mac Pro announcement at WWDC this year could be a train wreck if Apple says "You can use an GPU you want, as long as it is made by AMD." It is hard to ignore the 5x speed increase that comes from hardware ray tracing on NVIDIA RTX GPUs.

A better question: How will Google Stadia, its streaming video game service, affect Apple Arcade? When you compare the quality of games, Stadia will be the hands down winner. The only question is whether Google can crack the video quality and latency issues.

The apps only "misused enterprise tools" because Apple refused to provide an official SDK that let the app developers do what the users wanted. Make no mistake this is fully intentional on Apple's part. Apple is very interested in limiting what users can do with their devices. This is why there is no real WiFi SDK, why the Bluetooth SDK is crippled, why apps are extremely restricted when they run in the background or with the screen off, why there are no third part Apple Watch faces, why you can't modify the user interface to suit your needs, why you can't side load apps, why there is no third party app store, why there is no professional mode, why their are no real code compilers on the iPad, why there are no virtual machines, why you can't mine cryptocurrency, why Home Kit sucks ...
