Seems like this is just a big transfer of $$$ from taxpayers to shareholders. Would this plant have been built without huge financial incentives? I seriously doubt it...

I worked at Apple, from 1987 to 1992, and during most of those years Scully was revered as a good CEO. He successfully steered the ship out of some treacherous waters but couldn’t prevent Apple from hitting the rocks in 1991-1992. He was obviously a Marketing guy and not a Products guy, and he was replaced by a serious of disasterous CEO’s (Mike Spindler, Gil Amelio). I can’t comment on his relationship with Jobs, but like most failed relationships there is usually blame on both sides...

Tons of good wireless routers on the market. Mesh are a great solution, especially if you have 'dead spots', but they are still a bit pricy. I bought a Linksys AC1900 with an AC1900+ range extender and it's fast and reliable. Think I paid about $150 all-in...

The Air is by far the #1 Apple notebook sold to corporations. It makes sense they would keep it in the line with an upgraded Intel processor. I personally don't think they need a 4K display, on this machine, since most people doing that kind of graphics have other options. Why not just make gradual improvements while keeping the price the same?

Pretty much confirmed what I've thought. Great audio. Missing or lacking in some key features. Expect it will get better over time...
