Zuckerberg just doesn't get it. I hope that the next administration cracks down on Facebook's privacy violations. In fact, we need new legislation to reflect the realities of social media and the digital age...

Seems to me the new iPad Pro, with the Magic Keyboard, is the so called 'ARM-based Mac'. Sure, it's iPadOS not MacOS, but it functions are similar and applications are already plentiful. The biggest issue with a Mac with ARM CPU is MacOS developers would need to maintain two separate binaries. One for Intel and the other for ARM.   

Here's your ARM-based Mac 

Gasse was head of hardware when I worked at Apple. As I recall, he was fired for being a pompous jerk. In any event, Apple is NOT moving from Intel to ARM on a high end product they just recently started shipping. There is no equivalent ARM CPU that runs these high end workstation applications. Furthermore, given the relatively low volume of Mac Pro's sold, there is simply no financial justification to switch. My guess is that this is simply Jean-Louis being Jean-Louis... 

This would be the second Apple speaker that has failed to get traction. If I was advising them, I would probably kill the HomePod and acquire a company (Sonos would be my first choice) assuming they still want to compete in this category. Just my 2 cents...
