I curse Apple every time I unintentionally take a screenshot after trying to put the phone to sleep.
    You and everybody else.

The top was so much better for the power button.

  • There is a big interest in an iPhone Fold, well ahead of any launch

I don't care about a fold open design that results in a tablet size thing when unfolded, but I would love a flip open design. Same width as regular iPhone, but half the height when flipped closed. Small screen on the front could hold around 8-12 app icons -- I don't need anything larger than that for phone calls, texting, checking weather, etc.

  • YouTube TV will cost a lot more per month in April

I have been a subscriber since Youtube TV started at $35 and it was an amazing value proposition, with my use case being for live sports.  As they continue to add more channels I don't care about and increase prices, I am looking seriously at alternatives.  It's getting to the point that compared to a cable bundle it's no longer saving me money, it actually costs more than traditional cable tv/internet.  They seriously need to bring different service tiers as it's no longer worth the price they are charging.
Same for us. I really like YouTubeTV, but we really only want about five channels. I'm willing to pay for them. I don't care that ESPN represents $30 of the total -- I could not care less about 99% of ESPN programming. They need to come up with an a la carte package or they'll find half their subscriber base scrambling for a different solution.

  • The best apps for Apple CarPlay

Good or bad, a Sirius XM app is redundant. Any car with Apple CarPlay also has Sirius built into the car's radio (The antenna is in the shark fin on your roof). And it works just like the AM/FM channels.

The only reason to use any of the other apps is to use Siri and keep your eyes on the road, instead of fiddling with a dash screen in traffic. You DO use Siri, right?
It's really not redundant, but it is awful. In our family, we have three vehicles. All came with SiriusXM. We let two of the trial subscriptions expire and only pay for one overpriced SiriusXM subscription. That one subscription lets you use the app anywhere else, including the other two cars.

  • Here's everything Apple announced this week from AirPods to iMacs

AirPods with Hey Siri. This so-called feature escapes me. I have the old AirPods. Tap one of them and tell Siri what you want. Hey Siri is useful for HomePod, because it's across the room from me and out of my reach but AirPods are about as close as they can possibly be -- they're IN MY EARS.

Actually, I think the need to talk to my earphones is a major fail. The whole point of earphones is to be quiet and not bother other people. Here's a free tip, Apple: turn the AirPod stalk into a touch enabled volume slider.
