  • Survey claims 86 percent of US teens plan to choose iPhone as next smartphone

The more important number I would like to see is what the parents intend to buy. Not many kids get to drop $1k without parental permission.

As to Hulu, they have been a hydra owned by Disney, Fox, Comcast and AT&T. With the Disney/Fox deal the mouse house will have 66% or so of Hulu. It would not surprise me to see Disney buy out Comcast and AT&T to own Hulu and recast it as they want it.
They do not have much choice if they do not want to be declared enemies by their young hype driven offspring (that BTW is clueless and trives on unproductive entertainment). It is just that they never tried anything else to understand, but they will be parroting what brainwashed crowd tells them because as usually they fear being isolated (whiich is normal). That is how it works with everything. Remember sneaker brands and models? Same with smartphones now. They do not need to be really fit for need and quality (and perhaps price), but if others use them then "everybody" needs to use them.

And the gap between US and other markets (teens) is growing. They pick Androids elsewhere. Hype is not everything.

  • Alleged photo of 2019 iPhone chassis claims to confirm three camera design

Looks like Apple tries to catch up with LG. Well we will hear story from pundits that Apple was first with this idea, but the fact is LG has had that since 2018 on all V models (three of them now).

  • Apple ditching plans for Israeli store after rejections by mall owners

I have to say, this is just more of Apple looking greedy. Apple is making a ton of money and doing that at the expense of everyone else. If Apple wanted to rent or build someplace, I'd do a 50% markup Apple Tax to Apple.
Apple singlehandedly drives substantial foot traffic to places their retail stores are located so they can demand these kind of concessions. There are reportedly some malls here in this US that are kept afloat entirely by the customers the Apple Store brings; and without the Apple Stores these malls would likely have to close.
Well that is true, but this is US. They may not need that in Israel for some reasons. One of the reasons could be that there is something attractive on their market that Apple would take crowd away. Another reason is safety - it is easy to attack such crowded store that pays little attention to terrorism and crime (California Apple store thefts during operation hours?)

  • Apple HomeKit seen 'gaining traction' in smarthome accessories towards 2023

HomeKit will never win with Amazon Alexa solution unless Apple will start developing/enabling it for Android as well. Android is majority of devices on the market around the world and that will not change to Apple advantage. I would suggest stop locking ecosystem and at least enable major development on alternative platforms. Mark my words and see what happens in 2025.
