  • Apple diagnostics software blocks third-party repairs of 2018 MacBook Pro and iMac Pro

    slurpy said:
At this point apple is just seeing how much sodomy the fan base is willing to take. In my circles developers and designers are abandoning the apple eco system in droves. Interestingly my non tech friends are lining up to have the prestige of paying a huge premium for the Apple Shiny.
Yeah, I’d bet a dollar that you’re completely full of shit, as well as every single word of your post.

    Pathetic troll.
Another one upset. BTW h/shee is not a troll. I have the same and I am sitting in major financial company here in NYC. People use Samsungs and skip iPhones if they want and many do for whatever reasons whil company offers iPhones. Stop being hardheaded on Apple and stickout yor head of that small yard. Apple is good, but that is not to say it is always good or the best.

  • Apple now blocks iOS app backups, but you can do something about it

Company goes down. I have hardware that is used with that app remotely. Why Apple would want me to lose app? Sorry but that is some reason to: stick to old iOS, or jailbreak device, or move to other platform that does not do this thing. As long as it works on iOS on particular device I do not care what their policy is as I need to use it. I got license from app creator - not from Apple. If there are logistics problems due to iCloud then that is Apple problem and it does not need to be mine.

  • Wi-Fi spec naming getting simplified with new numbering scheme

At last. It sounded more like legal book references than simple technology generation lingo.

  • Availability shrinking for LG UltraFine 5K Display at Apple Stores

It is going to be hard to determine what is "pro" It ain't about resolution and Apple displays have had hard time to match EIZO or NEC reall professional graphics displays. Call it wathever you want, but unless you work in area and you see proper colors and grey levels and non-glare and (no washing on edges after 2 years or turning yellow like in cases like iMac's) then you have some odd definition for "pro display".

  • Photo shootout -- Comparing the iPhone XS Max versus the iPhone X

If we compare just camera, why XS Max and not XS at the same time? I think it isnot about sceen size if thi is about photo quality. It wousl be nice to see X vs. XS. vs. XS Max too. And yes pictures are impressiove and 1.4 aperture does what it is supposed to do: show color and fron subject details - not creating depth of view with so-so colors here and there.
