When it doesn’t show up in finder does disk utility see it?  If so, you should be able to mount it from there.

It does not matter. The new macOS has notorious problems with discovering cards or even flash drives. They could be HPFS and still have issues. I have seen that. Similarly, the problems exist with flash drives. You take the same to Linux computer based on old Mac hardware (including HPFS formatted drives) and it just mounts them no matter what.

You are funny. Try again. I know one engineer who left Apple after conflict with managers who have no clue on QC and automated testing in macOS development (and he came from finance where testing is almost fully automated and very strict). He was in GM working on autonomous and now is in Amazon Zoox (I gave him professional references as we worked for six years together). It takes years to develop it. I heard from him that GM was already riding on San Francisco roads and passed the tests... yet no word on final results.

Maybe Apple cannot decide if they should go autonomous or just electric. Strategy choice can be a killer to ideas and to talented headcount.

I am just working on finding out design philosophy of my shoe laces. I know they are special as I discarded original once and they have special construction and shape to help with loosening tie when walking and doing footwork (seriously you can buy them on Amazon). But I still wonder philosophy that one can make for them...

Yet they are cheap and for most people that counts. Every tablet on this list is for different purpose and when you say Microsoft Surface that is yet another class of tablets and competes with laptops - not even with iPad Pro. If you say trash about tablets then tell in what category. Android tablets are mainly for Netflix and streaming services and they do it very well. Amazon tablets are for reading books and they were designed this way from originally failed product. iPad's are more for gaming and other apps, but it is closed ecosystem.  Saying "trash" is meaningless unless you understand that tablet is not equal another tablet in terms of purpose. So far only Apple with iPad aimed in all categories, but still not close to Microsoft Surface when it comes to professional work with laptop like workload.
