  • Apple's long-rumored homeOS may arrive in 2025 with Home Hub

Maybe it's just not for me, but I really don't see a market for something with a robotic arm that stalks you. Also Amazon already tried this and it was a bit a flop. Very niche.

I know I am not the only one who wishes Apple would use their expertise again to make home WiFi routers/networks. Its' such critical infrastructure I can't understand why the abandoned this.
First, just because *you* don't see any value doesn't mean no one sees any value, that's a bit of a narcissist's view to be quite blunt and is quite illogical. Amazon has had many flops, so even that argument doesn't hold water.

It'll be interesting to see what they come up, mostly to see how the arm stays out of the way of the directional speakers (that rendering above is strange).

As for the WiFi routers/networks, I'm with you there, but why is it either/or? Why do they have to drop one product you don't like just to re-start one you do? No reason they can't work on both, but for their reasons they don't want to be in that market anymore. Wish they'd change their minds, my eeros are okay, but I had better experience with every Apple WiFI router I owned.

  • Meta stored 600 million Facebook and Instagram passwords in plain text

I been stop using social media. Let’s just say they all are nothing but pawns of the US government at this point. ߙ䦬t;/div>
Wow, good sarcasm love it. The sad thing is that there are truly some people who do believe that nonsense. The biggest fear for me is giving them your personal details and their selling, using it against you, or simply having it hacked which is why those alt app stores are so unappealing.

If I know it's coming to Apple TV+, why on earth would I spend the extra $$ to watch it in the theater?
Huge screen,  huge sound system.  Getting out of the house….
Ridiculously expensive tickets and food, sticky floors under your feet, fellow movie watchers whispering and talking through the movie as well as constantly checking their phones which illuminate the area around them.

To be fair and not a totally negative nelly, if you're out with a group of friends looking for something to do, heading into the cinema to see what's on and enjoying one of the films you wanted to see and hadn't yet got a chance to see is a great treat.

  • Shorter lead times suggest iPhone 16 is least popular since the iPhone 12

After the unmitigated disaster of an event on Sep 12, no one should be surprised by this.
OK I’ll bite. what happened on Sept 12? The iPhone event was on the 9th.
Don't bother, he's a troll that spews nonsense wrapped in negativity.

  • Repair site praises new iPhone 16 line as the most repairable yet

All these improvements to repairability and yet it is the best iPhone ever! Who would have thought that was possible. :-)
It also took a shitload of reengineering of basically the entire internal section of the iPhone. This couldn't have been cheap to do. Stuff like this is the stuff people don't understand when they complain that the phone is the same phone as last year. Maybe at a glance yes it's the same phone as last year but they don't see the internals being pretty much entirely different. Sometimes the changes that need to be made are under the hood, not customer facing.
    Provide your source.
While that can have some merit and be relevant on occasion, it's become one of the favourite jibes to repeat of lazy trolls, and is totally irrelevant to what he wrote in this case.
