  • MagSafe may be expanding beyond Mac and iPhone to the iPad

The Smart Connector is a form of MagSafe!

Anyone can make a stand or pad that magnetically latches and it would start charging the iPad through the Smart Connector.
That smart connector always seemed like it's been underutilised. With the iPad, the Apple keyboard doesn't even require separate charging, and as you say you can even plug power into the keyboard and it'll charge the iPad to which it's connected. That's some clever componentry and circuitry that isn't being more widely promoted and embraced.

  • Google proposes a new tracking superpower in Chrome

here’s the thing with Google and tracking…

“It Is Difficult to Get a Man to Understand Something When His Salary Depends Upon His Not Understanding It”
...most people are happy to trade every piece of information about themselves to save a couple bucks/get something for free. Either that or they don't pay attention at all (more often the case).

I agree people are like that, I just think "how pathetic" to allow oneself (one's privacy, even worse) to be used for the profit of another. The irony is that they aren't saving any money, it's just that the manipulators are crafty about how they extract money from their wallets by slight of hand movements, completely without their understanding. These companies aren't altruistic, they get their money back and then some, and if someone were treating me like that I'd feel awfully used and pathetic. Wake up sheeple, that closet full of tat, shit and crap didn't buy itself.

  • Apple faces App Tracking Transparency antitrust probe in France

IAB France - Interactive Advertising Bureau
MMAF - Mobile Marketing Association France
UDECAM - France's union of media consulting and buying companies
SRI - an organisation that represents the interests of management in the value chain of digital advertising in France

Government again taking its marching orders from greedy corporations accusing Apple of violating privacy rules, the world truly is upside down.

Hey, gubmint, stop listening to these yahoos, their interest is in monetising your citizens through violations of privacy and psychological manipulations (convincing them to buy things they neither need nor want) for their own bulging bank accounts exclusively.

  • Apple is considering making the iPhone 15 Pro more expensive

Android has caught up to iOS. The phones run perfectly now with zero hiccups. I also like the fact that I can program my phones to do whatever automation I want. Something Apple limits. Which is done purely for profit. Goodbye Apple
Doors and asses come to mind. B'bye.

  • Windows won't dominate enterprise in a decade, says outgoing Jamf CEO

Those legacy Windows-only apps will make nice future web apps, which can be run from any computer, and a staple suite of ordinary office products isn't going to be the OS-anchor forever, especially in a cloud (and Azure) world.

Why not just let the user decide at that point? Who cares if more people choose Windows machines or Mac machines, seriously? At least the users would have a choice, something they mostly lack today and any "win by volume" is most definitely not the strong point people claim when the choice is forced upon you.
