Judge dismisses motion to halt Qualcomm's potential iPhone import ban
nunzy said:Judge Koh should recuse herself. She hates Apple and loves Scamdung. She is prejudiced. -
Analyst downgrades Apple stock, because iPhone X is too popular
I am seriously laughing at journalism nowadays...
Here’s some facts just looking at a small sampling size (around 20 family and close buddies):
75% still on iPhone 7 and before.
15% on iPhone 8/8 Plus (due to cost of X, including my partner)
10% on iPhone X (including me)
What’s the estimate of them upgrading to the next iPhone (2018)? -
Slow progress on common smartphone charger initiative may get extra EU push
EU is getting too nosy. I will not want to downgrade to those cheapo high risk chargers where corners are cut so badly that puts we, consumers at risk. Look at the number of electrical-induced fires in my country due largely to those cheapo low quality chargers across diverse appliances, PMD, etc.
EU, if u wanna do it, do it by raising the bar of all lower grade chargers to meet those of high standards like Apple's. Not the other way round! -
Class action claims all Apple Watches are defective
Seriously? Design defect?
I am still wearing daily what is known as Series 0 since its launch (it’s even the initial launch day batch) and where I am located, the average climate is 32 degree C and high humidity. My partner has the same Series 0 though she wears it less frequently as I do. Even every single relative and friends and colleagues who have since gone out to get themselves either a Series 1 or 2 or 3, none of them have experience the issues mentioned in the article.
I have even bath with Series 0 on a few rare occasions when I forgotten I was wearing it and step into the shower. Till date, it is still working well despite not being certified as water resistant. -
Apple considers cheaper HomePod in face of lackluster sales
big kc said:Not surprised at all. It's a nice piece of hardware, with a REALLY lousy voice assistant, and Apple chose to keep out 3rd party streaming like Spotify, which IMHO was a HUGE mistake. That omission alone is hindering sales, probably significantly. You can't expect people to pay top dollar for this thing just because it sounds good - with Siri being so lacking, and so many people preferring Spotify as their streamer of choice, this thing was bound to stumble.
