I'm not saying Apple is guilty or not guilty but what the hell?  How come EVERYONE sues Apple but the second Apple fights for its rights they are shot down and fined too boot?  Case in point Samsung. There's an old saying "youre not a little bit pregnant you're either pregnant or your not". Samsung copied it down to the packaging the charging cable EVERYTHING and still has not suffered anything but millions of sales. 

After the first iPhone was released apple came to their senses and lowered the price I think $200. I cant remember exactly how quick 3 weeks maybe?  But when I went to the store for an unrelated issue I was told I had been assigned $200 credit for each phone bought because I was being compensated for them lowering the price within 30 days.

You know what I did?  I was sooooo happy Apple lowered the price to something more reasonable to ensure it sold more that I took the two credits in the form of a print out, walked over to two different people considering the iphone and gave each one my credit to use. I wanted the iPhone to be such a hit I gladly gave up my "credit" to get it into the hands of two others. 

Thats how i feel about this book deal. 

Amazon clearly is npt  looking out for the artist if they would they wouldn't be forcing the publishers to sell to them at rock bottom prices. What Apple was trying to do was make sure the writers got their fare share of the pie and for that I applaud them for trying. But this crap of paying us back for something I bought not under duress irks me to no end. 

It f they send me a credit I'll use it to rebuy the book and gift it to a friend.

I agree. If you give to one you give to both because the people purchasing you're product is from both parties too. Either give to both or give to none

many an actor and recording artist have watched their sales literally drop in half over night when they decide to voice their opinion which none of us asked for. 

And for those of you who say "say have the right to voice their feelings like anyone else..."   Blah blah. Well "everyone else" is not asking for you to buy the music or see their movies now are they?

im his saying come September maybe I'll try Simone else's product rather than hand over money. If it's good enough for Apple to do "pick and choose"... there's a lot of new players coming to the market. 

To be fair... this is tricky to complain about because I know this is exactly what  has up their sleeve killing off the headphone jack. All their patents point to this exactly. 

I own 7 pairs of PowerBeats 2 Bluetooth (I know... don't start. I get enough grief from all my friends for color matching to what I wear. LOL)

My concern is not even so much about popping out as it is about that battery life. Jeez-Zu 1.5 hours?  My morning 26 mile bike ride follows by my 4 mile walk these would just barely do the bike portion. 

I guess if the sounded like PowerBeats 2 Bluetooth it would be tempting, but they need to work on that battery charge.
