That's because on a Mac we don't all have to buy a brand new computer just to get a touch screen. Apple solved that problem years ago with the TouchPad.

I don't know about you, but using my sleeve to clean my iPhone now and then is one thing, I certainly can't do THAT with my shirtsleeve if my Mac was touch screen. That's called "The BurgerKing Affect".

Have you ever seen those touch screens at BurgerKing (or any other fast food restaurant)?  Yikes!  It's a breeding ground for infection. Talk about "bugs and kids". They're would be plenty of "bugs" for those bug chicks to play with. Unfortunately they're not the cute ones rolling around on their hands. They're the bad ones you can only see with a microscope. I do not want their 21" unmovable computer screen going touchscreen anytime soon at their school where God knows if they're ever cleaned. It's bad enough what they "bring home" without sharing that bed of infection. At least with their iPad it's THEIR iPad and rarely touched by others. But I'm sure that "ad" wouldn't be as cute and fuzzy. <GRIN> 

And by the way... Where's Hollywood in all this FBI crap?  You remember the stars who were Sooooooooooo upset their nude photos were pulled from their iPhones and iCloud accounts?  Why are THEY on the sidelines?  They do realize if the FBI wins their crap will be over the Internet big time right?

hey Jennifer I'm talking to you!  Your voice and they rest of your friends would go a long way in helping apple keep your crap secure. Get involved 

Remember it was revealed back in 2001 that the FBI didn't even use computers that everything was hand written for security. It came up during a congress review that they weren't even allowed to gather info using Facebook or MySpace ?  One of the congressman made the comment "My 6 year old grandson can look it up but you can't??"  Remember how shocked we all were to find this out?  So somehow they went from no computer -> to trust us with THEE most damaging software code in history - all in just 15 years??  Apple has been doing this for 30+ years but the FBI is suddenly a computer/mobile specialist?  They're the ones who told the idiot ar SBC that changing the Apple ID and password was a good way to retrieve info from the phone? Imagine the studio decisions they could make with govtOS?The only device allowed in the pentagon is the iPhone. So where does that leave our defense when they hack into there??

Right up there with Hilary's semail erver was in a bathroom. <LOL> Or a billion thrown at a we bite that still doesn't work (Onamacare web site). At least the government is consistent in making bad choices. Wait till they hack this dudes phone and expose some dark secret because of course we keep ALL our personal stuff on our business phones never our private phones right?  I mean the San Bernadono terrorists smashed their personal phones and iPads to tiny pieces then left the phone with all the good stuff just laying on the kitchen table for the apartment manager to find because all the good stuff was on it. Right. 

My only REAL complaint with Apple TV 4 is the touch screen remote when scrolling through lists of tv shows and movies. We have about 2,500 bluray movies on our 6TB movie drive and 22,000 episodes of TV shows on another 6TB drive. When you go to the drive contents for movies you get three column options to scroll through:

UNWATCHED    TITLES     GENRE

The problem is as we start scrolling down one column it suddenly jumps the column to one of the others and you loose the alphabetical listing you were at instantly. In other words if it jumps suddenly from TITLES to UNWATCHED while you're around say the letter "M" (jumping out of the TITLES column) it takes you to the beginning letter "A". When you slide sideways to return to where you were it also returns to "A" and you get to start over. I've yet to see movies that start with "S" through "Z". <LOL> 

What a major pain in the butt!!!

... and before someone jumps in and recommends to me, "just have Siri find it..." my response to you is "find what?"  That's the problem. We don't know what we want to watch THATS why we're scrolling through our list!!  If this was Windows 10 people would be ragging all over Microsoft for poor UI but because it's Apple were supposed to "deal with it?"

I can't tell you how much I HATE THIS!!!

Honest to god I've tried scrolling really straight. 
I've tried scrolling really slowly.
I've tried putting tape blocking the other sides of the touch area so ONLY straight down will be visible. 

The slightly movement left or right and WHAM!!! you're back to the letter 'A" starting all over again. I just want to see what's in the entire list. Why is that too much to ask?  Why can't Apple make it so once you start scrolling down a column that the remote stays in the column till you tell it otherwise. It was bad enough they took away the ease of sound by dumping the optical port but this is a deal breaker. I do NOT recommend to my friends to buy this and it doesn't take much to talk them out of it I just have them try to scroll down to the letter "S". <LOL>
