Apple's 'flat out victory' will cause problems for antitrust regulatory efforts

I mean, why can't someone make them offer sushi? Or place an independent developer's chef's taco truck in the parking lot? We demand access to their customer base so we can offer the customer choice!
...glad the judge wasn't having it. Hope it sticks. -
Apple not a monopoly but must allow alternate payment methods for apps, judge rules

Other than that, I hope that Apple adds a new app-store rule stating that apps that use in-app purchases other than Apple-Pay cannot be free to download.
I suggest a minimum purchase of $4.99 of which Apple get the usual 15%/30%. Apple needs to recoup it’s costs somewhere. You imply that something wrong with his post. What? -

Mark Zuckerberg may have lied to Congress about who can see WhatsApp messages

That seems entirely in line with expectations, what else would a user expect to happen when they report content? If the complaint is that the user who gets reported should have their privacy respected then that seems decidedly bogus to me.
No fan of Facebook or WhatApp, but I don't see anything to be concerned by here, save perhaps the use of external contractors.MplsP said:crowley said:So it only gets triggered when one of the conversation participants reports the contact? Facebook only reads reports the users send. The same would be true if I made a screenshot of the message and posted it on a forum - now everyone can read the information on the screenshot, but not the original message (unless it is shared as e.g. screenshot or report etc.). -
iMac could be made from a single glass sheet in the future
bsimpsen said:Fixing the keyboard to the display is ergonomically terrible and makes no sense in a desktop computer. My keyboard is on an adjustable tray, 14 inches below the bottom edge of my iMac display and 11 inches in front of it, tilted backwards 10 degrees. I will purchase no computer that doesn't allow me to replicate this geometry, which eliminated my nearly debilitating RSI pain over 20 years ago.
