  • Apple is evaluating new keyboard mechanisms to make thinner MacBooks

If there's one thing I don't like about the Macbook, it's the fact that it's too thick. LOL.

Actually, there are several things I don't like about my 2017 Macbook and chief among them is the crappy keyboard.  In addition to feeling worse than most keyboards (including the MS Surface detachable keyboard -flame away but it's better), the whole laptop could be ruined by a bit of dust or lint.  The trackpad also does very poorly at discerning intentional touches from unintentional hits from the palm - it very often sends the cursor where I don't want it.  It's damned hard to use the keyboard without touching the trackpad at all.  Now, I really don't think these plans from Apple are going to improve the keyboard in the areas where I have problems with it.

  • Personal data of two million customers swiped in T-Mobile breach

I am loyal to ATT. They were the only ones who gave iPhone a chance. Nobody else had any faith in Apple.
I believe it was Cingular that gave iPhone a chance.  AT&T bought Cingular.  I was loyal to Cingular/AT&T for about 15 years, but they weren't loyal to me. Do you travel much with your AT&T phone? The overseas data plans cost a fortune and you get almost nothing. T-Mobile- free texting and data.

  • Woman sues feds over data retention after iPhone seized at border

Discovery in this lawsuit should reveal IF the government is able to extract data from a locked iPhone 6 Plus.

It would also be interesting to know what happens if you try to use iCloud Lost Mode or remotely erase the device in this situation.
The agents that seized the phone would have put it in a faraday bag to prevent one from finding out what happens if you try those things.

  • Comparing AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile & Verizon's 'unlimited' wireless plans for iPhone in 2018...

I'm paying about $120/ 4 lines with T-Mobile. The data is 6gb each of LTE, and then unlimited at 3g or 4g (idk). Plus unlimited text and data overseas, etc. One of my daughters has been in the UK for most of the last 9 months and traveled to France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain - free texting and data.  Previously we paid about $200/month to AT&T without all the additional perks of T-Mobile.

  • Apple Pay used by estimated 127M users globally, but analyst claims only 16 percent of iPh...

Apple Pay was a great convenience for an American visiting the UK.  I don't have a pin for my credit cards so retailers etc. always ask to see ID when I used them.  Apple Pay works just like it ought to and just about everywhere.
