It's a bit buried, but if you go to... /System/Library/Components/KeyboardViewer.component/Contents/SharedSupport/ you'll find the KeyboardViewerServer. Make an alias to that in /Applications/Utilities, rename it to KeyCaps, and voila. No flag necessary. -
