Am I the only one hoping it's not the tablet? I would much rather see new MacBook/MacBook Pros announced, and I think there's a high probability of that happening due to the new Intel Core i3/i5 chips being announced around the same time. I really need a new laptop...

I'm thinking it would be a bit early for a Macbook Pro refresh... I'm thinking those will be more in the March/April timeframe, along with updated Mac Pros

Maybe we got it all wrong and they'll be introducing an iTable to complete with Microsoft's Surface. It'll come with place settings for 6.

Works 60% of the time all the time.

What is up with these 75% there will be an event 50% for the tablet. Seems like numbers out of someone's rear end. But if there is a tablet, I would like to see what Steve cooked up. I doubt I will get one personally, but as I said earlier this could be a netbook or macbook air replacement for some, provided it gets decent functionality and speed. I just hope its not tied in to ATT, or at least has a removable sim card so I can change service

You got me laughing man. I say its a one more thing moment, Steve takes the iMac off his table, room goes dark with flashing lights as he pull off the table cloth and introduces the iTable. Also announces iTable nano that you can carry in your hiking bag.

What are chances that apple will sit still while the hot new chips are being put into windows comps? I am waiting for an imac update, and if it isn't in january i'm gonna buy a core 2 duo. \

I am just entrigued buy the tech specs of the imac compared to a macbook pro for the price, and since I have realized my laptop doesnt really leave my desk, an imac would be logical. Plus the new screens are incredible.

Is it just me or does the new, unconfirmed Apple Tablet sound a lot like an iPod Touch with twice the screen? What will it offer that iPod Touch doesn't except maybe better specs?

    Probably Steve.

It will be better. Not just in terms of specs. Apps will be different.

Just get the Core i5 iMac 27". That will last you for a few years. The video card, ATI 4850 512MB is quite nice too.

Maybe. LOL. Wonder what will happen if this event will have absolutely NOTHING to do with a tablet. People would be going insane.

Very, very likely some Core i3 and Core i5 refreshes to MacBook Pro (probably not MacBook). Hopefully with ATI 5-series 40nm Mobility Radeons !!!!!
