Lots of the apps on the App Store are free, some are dirt cheap, some are garbage (IMHO). The first and last groups won't make any money. The middle one, well, it depends on the app; some are run-away hits, others have their niches. If the developers actually make good apps that people want and price them right, they will make money. Isn't that the same with many businesses?

Ok, an Apple Tablet is one thing and something to get excited about, but maybe this event is going to finally reveal the much anticipated Apple TV upgrade?

After all, how great would it be to access Apps via the Apple TV and be able to control the Apps with your iPhone. Not least have a device that has more Hard Disk space and more grunt.

I can wait for the tablet but the Apple TV could also be announced end of January too!

It could be anything. Apple may just be updating its notebook lines with new processors.

If they call this tablet iSlate I will literally be dazed, confused, surprised and shocked. They may as well call it iPoop if they are going to use such an enormously crap name. Probably 7 years in the making, from conception - I will iVomit.

Well, the iPhone 3GS was a weird name. "S" stands for speed! Hooray!

iSlate is entirely possible in the current Apple management ecosystem. The only problem I have with it is that it makes no sense in non-English speaking countries. Even in English-speaking countries, I don't think it jives anyway. Slay-wha??? iTombStone would make more sense. iBooklet? iCool? iLoLed. iWin? iPwn? iBalls?

Well' it was (is) a gold rush. As with the gold rush of old, some made it big. Others worked as hookers and so on.

EDIT: Quick, someone photoshop that space baby from the movie to have Steve Jobs's face! That make an awesome picture.

It may be a bit esoteric for most people 25 years later but I think the theme music, the statements made about something wonderful happened and the giant “tablet” floating in space could make for a great teaser ad during the Super Bowl. They can even use the tagline, “2010: The Year We Make Tablet” with an alteration of the cover art, below. If I have photoshopping skills I’d make a mockup.

Sorry, I'm too busy wasting my talents on something else:

I like the rating left in the corner: The tablet is rated PG??? Does it get pissed when you make a typing error?
