Okay, I don't know WHAT'S going on exactly (who won, who's winning, who kicked who in the nuts, etc.), but for the PAST FOUR HOURS, every goddamn Hispanic person in the county has apparently nothing better to do than ride up and down the street beside my apartment and lay on the horns of their Impalas and Chevettes.
It's been a non-stop ****ing horn fest for the better part of the late afternoon/evening.
Someone want to fill me in on what's happening? Did they win?
I'll never get to sleep tonight. People are hanging out of cars, waving flags (putting flags ON THEIR WINDSHIELD...really smart), throwing firecrackers, beer cans, screaming, etc.
I've already seen two fender benders in the past three hours.
Idiots. Yeah, I said it. God, I hate sports fans like this. Same thing when the Chargers miraculously win a game: every dipshit in San Diego is suddenly a "Bolts fan" and has to spend the rest of Sunday afternoon showing his ass and generally making life miserable for people like me who don't especially get turned on by tire-necked cavemen in funny tight pants and shoulder pads.
I suppose it's too much to ask that these people drive home, park their piece-of-**** cars and go inside and celebrate inside, amongst themselves?

I don't know about the people on your block, but the soccer fans in Mexico City are swine. The bastards routinely throw garbage and zip-locked bags of urine at at our players, taunt them, etc.
I hope we kick the sh*t out of them tonight. If not us, someone else surely will in the next round. They won't get past Germany, and they sure as hell wouldn't get past Spain / Italy.
I was kind of rooting for Ireland today, such a great game for an underdog. They were gutsy. But I like Spain as well (have family from there).

I REALLY hope these aren't "destroy and burn stuff" sports fans. Maybe it's best that I just plant myself in front of my window for the night and keep an eye on things? Yeah, that's what I really want to be doing on a work night.
Why can't people just not be dicks and lose their minds when sports don't go their way?
