Yeah. Also, if it was worded correctly (as per your example) it would be unreadable nonsense, so the slightly incorrect grammar is definitely preferred.
People forget also that advertising copy is not proper English and never has been. Traditionally, a huge amount of leeway is given advertising agencies since their very business is inventive wordplay.
If it was a headline in a newspaper it's time to get upset, when it's an advert ... not so much.
In my family, the traditional granting of leeway was celebrated ill-hung bunting with.
Finally, Apple can implement OpenCL and GCD to use the CPU/GPU cores efficiently. I suspect that Apple will do all it can to allow developers (Apple and 3rd-party) to exploit the OS and hardware with efficient code.
Apple's frameworks like OpenCL, but even basic Quartz and others do this automatically. This is the huge advantage Apple has. As the hardware improves, the existing programs will get boosted performance automatically. Sure, when certain routines are optimized applications can speed up more - but the way the SDK is structured right now, there is quite a bit of automatic optimization going on under the hood.
Such incremental advantages of "The Apple Way" are just going to continue to accelerate the gap between Apple and everyone else.
Wow. You registered just to post that lame joke. How embarrassing

I have to agree with those that think this will be another early preview so apps can be ready for the release

Putting the iPad after the iPhone makes people demand everything the iPhone has in the iPad. Apple doesn't want to do that.
It's only in the standard front line fluff. It took three clicks to navigate to, all obvious ones. Maybe a little self exploration is in order before you ask for hand holding?
And OBTW, the same graphic in different sizes appears in a good half-dozen plus other places on the site. It's actually hard to miss if you are looking for it.
How? All the dude is saying is that the photo in the invite is a stock photo off the current website. I don't see any crow being eaten over that, he's correct on that point.
So are you going to dine on some corvus cornix for your poor case of reading comprehension?

Well I had already prior to posting, obviously it was missed, saw it the second time around.
So sorry to inconvenience you, god forbid you just link it in the first place.

Wow, God forbid I did link it, maybe I should edit the link out to make you happy. In the future if you don't want the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Throw-downs that are little more than calling for links are generally poor form and indicate laziness.
There are ways you could have worded things differently to avoid the implication of "I didn't see the pic, so prove it!". An implication only enhanced by the absolute ease which I found the first three of the pics in about 15seconds including page load times. When it's that easy, most call-out folks are BS-ing about having looked at all. If you did look, you did so in an exceptionally lackadaisical manner. However you want the situation skinned, getting pissy over it when the link was offered didn't help.

I went to the pages where they go over the features of the ipad and iphone, that detail wasn't there.
It is obvious now, but when I went to look I simply did not look at the mac lineup, the comment I read was comparing the iphone and ipad, and I just focused in on those too much and missed the Forest for the trees in that regard. I clearly see now the line on the nano, macbook pros, imac, etc....
I asked for a link, particularly as I assume you pulled the image off the page - why not just link it from the get?
I was a smart ass because that was the road you went down in your response, Implying people were idiots for not seeing it to begin with. I think you assumed some inference in my initial request and responded based on the assumption that I was calling you a liar, which I wasn't.
I had just been to numerous pages on apples site and had not run into the one you posted.

?or what ever the Yanks do on 'that' day?

Dude! Don't hate on Thanksgiving. It's the best holiday of the year! No cards. No flowers. No presents. Nothing. Just FOOD!
the campers must be happy.

Did you miss the part where I was referring to Canada?
NO
But you did.
I WAS referrin to Canaydia
my god, i can't believe this thread. it's full of jokes and has no insults or personal attacks.

PISS-OFF then
I think the reason Apple likes the reflective glass
Apple likes it because consumers overwhelmingly prefer it.
Even on the PC side of things - how many PC laptops default to matte vs. the higher contrast and brighter glossy displays?

Hey Man, I aint hatin'
However, it appears I'll have to divest myself of all vestiges of satyrical humor <eh>
My sincere and deepest apologies for bein' a stoopid 'down-under' grunt!
BTW: I've been having a personal love affair with all things of The U S of A
since my first visit in 1969, at the age of 16, no less
Nine months later I fell pregnant and gave birth to my first car <umm that was humor? Yes? NO>
a shiny used 1965 Chevy Impala Pillerless Hardtop Auto White 327ci
My current car, 42 years later, has a Corvette LS2 engine, the great great great great GRANDson of the 327 V8 Chevy motor.
I'm in Love
That's a good catch -- the darker section is not the same shape as a shadow from the cover pealback!
As someone else noted, that's how most of their products are shown.
Yep. You can see it in this stock photo from Apple's website. Do people seriously think the invite photo is iPad 2.0?
Can you link to that photo?
I had not seen any photos on the site like that.

You'll be eating crow soon enough.
You'll be eating crow soon enough.
Does it make sense to take a firm position on this? I can see it realistically going either way.
