    Right you are, EmAn, and if you hate the show, you'll hate the movie more, and vice versa if you love it.



    RodUK, some of the bumps those Jackass guys take would explain some of the discussions in FC!

    I wish someone would set MTV studios ablaze. It's perhaps tne one terrorist target I wouldn't mind seeing hit. Oh, but of course I'd want all the people to be somewhere else, major contributors to society that they are.







    Biggest POS channel on television - and the founding father of crap like Big Brother, The Bachelor, Weakest Link and The Mole.

    Movies and TV shows like this (and Temptation Island, etc) are popular becasue then society has something to look down upon. People like when others do something stupid because it makes them feel smarter.

    Jackass is stupid...and i'm convinced derranged men doing the kinds of things that you've always wantd to do and never had the balls. (well most of the time, some of them are just plain stupid)



    ramping off a golf cart (would be fun but hella dangerous)

    being shot with a stun gun



    its fun to watch people goofily get hurt

    Some of those movies have had positive effect on me. Something akin to anesthesia! I recall seeing "Dude, where is my car?." That movie had the effect on me similar to a good 2-hour nap. After the movie I felt like most of the lactic acid in my bloodstream had been flushed out. I felt like a new man...in a way.

    I still can't understand the rationale behind this cultural elitism so many of us seem to be suffering from.



    Let people do their own things. If there is a market for a Jackass movie, let there be. I don't think anything is terrible is going to happen. I never knew so many conservative youths.



    And as for the end of Western Civ, I've been waiting for this to happen. When it does, I'll throw a party, and you're all invited.

    Right now I`m working at BK, hey we all start someware. I for one can vouch that our nation is going to hell. We are at the point where people can`t even order food on their own anymore. Its sad. Really.

    That was probably the funniest movie I have saw. OK, it's not really a movie, it's juste a special, longer episode. Their is nothing socially troubling or I don't know what in Jackass. These are just a bunch of guys having fun doing stupid things. What did you spent most of your teen years doing? Yeah that's right stupid things and drinking beer. And don't even argue this point Knoxville, Steve-O and co. only are more, hmmm, extreme. And much much more entertaining than your average neighbor's kid!

    And I don't think you could compare it with Temptation Island and similar shows either. Trying to make a game out of relationships is not the same as doing goofy stunts. Jackass is not "dehumanizing" anything. And even if it was, who cares?

    In defense of Moogs... (he hates it when I try to defend stuff)



    He hates MTV, which brought us The Real World, which was the first mainstream reality-type show.



    He never compared Jackass to these other shows.

    I love CKY-very degenerate,many of the movies and episodes were filemd in the town I grew up in (West Chester PA) In fact one of the stunts they did was in the parking lot of the hospital I was born in.
