Apple pushing new industry standard for even smaller SIM cards

    Cutting it down to the contacts would certainly not be 50% smaller than microSIM cards...

    Well this news today came as a surprise. Rather than Apple developing it's own SIM card, it's Google. Apparently they're buying bulk service from cooperating EU telecoms, allowing Google to "control more of the phone experience"( taking cues from Apple?). Just a small program now, but where is Google going with it? For now simply an interesting development IMO, but I suspect there will be more to come.
