TV series on DVD

What TV series do you have on DVD?

My Girlfriend and I have currently got (well almost all of them are hers):

Buffy The Vampire Slayer, first 3 seasons

Angel, first 2 seasons

Sex in the City, first 3 seasons

Babylon 5, Season 1

Stargate SG-1, first five seasons

The Outer Limits, "Time Travel & Infinity" collection

The Outer Limits, "Sex and Science Fiction" collection

Dune (miniseries)

Alice in Wonderland (miniseries)

The 10th Kingdom (miniseries)

As you can see she spends a mint on DVDs.

And on VCD (my GF is a cartoon fan):

Every available Simpsons VCD collection (about 10)

Futurama, complete first season

Power Puff Girls, all six VCDs (the Broccoloid episode is the best).

Anyone else collect these? I used to have a couple seasons of the X-Files but I got rid of all of my pirated stuff.

    I'm Alan Partridge series 1

The League of Gentlemen series 1 & 2

    The Office series 1

    The Family Guy series 1

    Fawlty Towers series 1 & 2

    Blackadder All four series

If you are a fan of british comedy the first three on this list may have flown under your radar. I highly recommend them.

I don't watch tv anymore. The ads and the need to fit your life around a tv schedule is too much. I don't watch enough to justify a tivo or whatever so I prefer to wait and buy the DVDs.

I buy mostly comedy though my friends cover the other bases with things like the Sopranos.

What's all this about Simpsons and Powerpuff Girls VCDs? Are they legit? I would love to own every episode of Dexter's Lab.

If you guys like nature shows as seen on PBS, then check out: <a href="http://www.pbs.org/lifeofbirds/"; target="_blank">The Life of Birds.</a> It is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000069HXL/qid=1043344748/sr=11-1/ref=sr_11_1/103-4929370-0145414&quot; target="_blank">available here.</a>

I really wished I had the money to buy it because it is the best documentary on birds ever! It is truly awesome.

    Transformers Season 1 & 2

Transformers were my childhood obsession, much as Macs are my obsession today.

...the above comment reminded me of Robotech (<a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006IUFQ/qid=1043345390/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/103-4929370-0145414"; target="_blank">amazon</a>). That's what I grew-up with.

    I have:

    Mr. Show - Seasons 1&2

That's the only thing that qualifies as a "series".

I also have Eddie Izzard's HBO performance of Dress to Kill, but that's just a one-time thing. Hmm.

    I have simpsons seasons 1 and 2.

And Scott, they do have some nice special features. The audio commentary with Matt Groenig is at times funnier than the episodes.

Cool FX for the 70's and plots like the Twilight Zone.

Well yea Simpsons of course. Now your comment makes we want to buy it.

    I still feel that ...

TV on DVD == pay to watch rerun IMO.

Let's see 1-3 of Buffy, Season one of B5, Outer Limits season one, some Doctor Who, 1-3 of Dark Shadows, 1-2 of Stargate, season 2 of the Simpsons, some Beverly Hillbillys, all ( yes I know puke puke but it's the nostagia ) of Space 1999, and all of TNG.

    Angel and

    DS9 are on order.

Oh yes and I have the Dune and V miniseries also.

PS. A few Xfiles on laser disc.

SG-1 is good. Bad movie good SciFi show. I watched it from the start on Showtime.

The early ones are funny because they had almost no budget. They have a lot more money to spend now.

Ummm? Hard to tell. You know a lot of it is paid for already. The CGI has already been developed and now they just turn the crank when they need it. They have all the props and .... blah blah blah whatever TeeVeeland stuff.

    I've been missing it on SciFi. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
