I'm not going to go through all his posts but one of his early posts on this site was "While I'll admit I was underwhelmed by the KEYNOTE I don't see how you can be underwhelmed by the device...especially since the only real "complaint" is that it looked the same." That sounds reasonable to me.
It's interesting, because until recently the Apple story in government and enterprise was that the company was too secretive, too mercurial, and too...... well, Jobsian to play well with Serious People.
But now government and good many businesses seem to be standardizing on iOS. I guess because the only other real choice (until we see how Windows 8 pans out) is Android, and compared to Android (which isn't really a company but a collection of licensees) Apple is a model of consistency and coherence. The same thing that has been derided in certain quarters as too conservative for the go-go consumer market-- once a year updates, once every two year case redesigns, aggressive curation of the platform-- are exactly what large organizations want and need.
iOS is also the only mature OS in the portable devices arena. Windows 8 for computers will likely be stable, but it's really a first-round, rewritten OS for touch devices and will be full of all the "oopses" and unexpected holes Microsoft is famous for over-looking. WM13 or 14 will be versions ready for prime time.

You also have to allow for the fact that Apple has a unique cultural presence: almost racial or sexual level animosity, expressed in every corner of the internet. It's hate, hate, and more hate. Even macrumor's a forums are littered with anti-apple trolls, which the moderators do nothing about, and which ended up destroying any chance of discussion or debate. So I too am thankful for the existence of this site, which seems more sane than anywhere else, and where one can admit excitement about Apple without being denigrated and mocked. And no, I don't see NEAR the same level of trash-talk towards other companies on these forums than elsewhere on the internet directed at Apple.
