Probably the same place they hold nearly all their big events. Moscone center.

Bah. Yerba Buena. Moscone hasn't been used for anything but WWDC since the first iPod touch in aught seven, has it?

Amen to that. It really sucks that it looks like we will have to wait one more year for that. iOS 7 along with a iPhone 5C and the fingerprint sensor on the 5S should see them through next year until it is ready.

I have a Galaxy S4 and an iPhone 5, I use my iPhone 90% of the time.

    Screen size is irrelevant.

An example of how stupid this S4 is, I put the font to large and numbers disappear off the crappy widgety clock I installed but at least it still shows how much of the paltry 8.2GB of space it shipped with is left.

Hardly irrelevant. If you had an iPhone 5 with 4" and one with 5" which then would you use most. I know I certainly would prefer a larger iPhone and find my iPhone 5 annoying to use due to the smallish display. This is the one deficiency I find with the iPhone that may or may not apply to other people. But certainly a choice between the current and a larger size would make many more people very happy.

Who cares? The point is when it will be held. How is that October prediction looking now TS. I remember you attacking people for saying early September. And since you skipped the iPhone 3, 3GS, 4, 4S, and 5 why do you even care? Why fixate over the minutiae of a product you have no intention of ever buying or using.

You, by virtue of the fact that you tried to answer instead of saying 'who cares' in the first place.

Pretty good, since this isn't confirmation of anything, it was the logical prediction to make, and you don't know squat about when the products are being released.

I remember you being told not to do this.

If it's true that Apple will announce the new device(s) on September the 10th, then I think it is pretty much safe to predict that pre-orders would start on the same week, Friday the 13th (interesting enough :) and shipments would start on September the 20th. Of course this is just speculation, based on previous Apple releases.

Nope, never happened. That is also rich coming from a guy whose catch phrase is "shut up and go away"

And exactly what about my statement was incorrect. It is a completely legitimate and topical question. Have you ever bought an iPhone 3, 3GS, 4, 4S, or 5? Do you intend to buy a 5S? Perhaps a 5C? If not then one has to ask why the obsession about a product you do not own or plan to buy.

I have an iPhone 5 and will very likely buy the 5S for one feature rarely mentioned here on AI. It will very likely support LTE on ESMR and 2.5GHz bands that the iPhone 5 does not currently support giving me a much more useful iPhone in terms of voice and data coverage. I wish we had more news about whether the Qualcomm RF360 front end will be used. This is the real game changer not the news about a fingerprint scanner.

I'm curious to see what the pricing and storage sizes will be. Hope this date is correct. So far this has been a dry year for Apple info and products (to me!!!), iOS7 has me very excited - tired of the current aged iOS.

It's extremely insensitive to use the word "retarded," many people have children with Down Syndrome and it's not a mocking or laughing matter. There are many ways to communicate that message in a more mature way. Really.

Uncross them, they will definitely not release two major product updates in the same event.

Your sarcasm ("shocker") is wasted. If they always released products on the exact same date year to year then your attempt would be valid, but since they don't - you wasted it.

Hey Dude ! iPhone 6 will solve your problem  and come with 5" display, 2 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The battery life of iPhone will be more powerful than other  smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S4.

Wow PED just roasted DED for this article!

"Most reporters will cover the fact that they have no independent confirmation through one of handful of headline tricks. The more honorable ones will acknowledge the source by name. Others will throw in a caveat -- "sources say," "reportedly," "may," "expected to" -- or simply put a question mark on the end of their headline.
A handful of the stories in the list above report the rumor as fact, without caveat or question mark. Most of them have little or no value to add. Steve Kovach's headline on Business Insider, for example, boldly declares that "Apple Will Announce its Next iPhone on September 10," but if you click his link you discover that, like the others, he's just piggybacking on Fried's report. Ray Basile does the same on iPhone Savior, and -- to my surprise -- so does AppleInsider's Daniel Eran Dilger."

Surely you've been around long enough to realize that it always works that way. All it takes is one source to start an Apple rumor and within days it has appeared on hundreds of sites. Then, the fact that ti's on hundreds of sites is used as 'confirmation' that it must be true. Then, when it turns out to not be true, someone releases a story that Apple failed to do it because of supply chain problems or because of the development team being behind schedule - and the stock drops.

Looking forward to the new iPhone. I heard rumors the 5s might be 4.3 inches which would be nice. I'm also looking forward to the release of the ipad 5 and ipad mini 2 with retina display.

Same here. My Verizon contract will expire in Oct. I will jump into smartphone for the first time and I am sure I want iPhone. Tmobile suits me much better when it comes to smartphone plans.

The 4" without question. I have used 4.3" display devices and find them too big for day to day use.
