I've no doubt you'll believe whatever you wish to see.
Apple doesn't lie on their 10-Q, nor has anyone said they do. They also don't say what you think they do.
As I have no doubt you will see what you want to see too, and they say exactly what I think they do. If all those phones are in channel inventory, tell me where does the revenue come from in that the report? I guess they didn't make the money they say they did and they just lied about that too. The profit they report didn't come from those iPhones . They just made that up to just to skew the numbers.
I think it's hilarious how the iHaters accuse Apple fans of being all about style over substance - and then they spend so much time posting drivel like the above.
2) That suggests a not completely happy customer who has found a work around that works for them
3) The problem is not not-liking the new OS and complaining; it is not being able to use it. Thus the people who have vertigo that is triggered by their phones that they have updated have lost the ability to use their phones. I would hope Apple would like them to continue using their phones happily by allowing them to return to 6. Or they will have to change devices at their own personal cost...
I am not discussing new buyers. They should take care in choosing their device. I am including, however, those people who get the auto update, click OK and then cannot use their phone. The updates usually say "recommended for all users"...
I never said I wasnt happy. iOS 7 brought more functionality. I get motion sickness. I adapt. Sure I wish there was an option to turn off "motion" effects completely. I look away for 1 sec. No issue for me. I am not constantly staring at app launches.

You still make revenue from devices that you sell into the channel. An example of channel inventory is the stock of iPads that Best Buy keeps in stores. Those devices are sold as far as Apple is concerned but haven't reached end consumers yet.

I'd be surprised if Apple's existing settings to reduce motion ( which already eliminates parallax) doesn't also get rid of zoom on launch. The icons will just be there. Speedier too I imagine. Since this will be in the accessibility settings Apple are marking it as non-standard.

They book revenue for selling devices into channel. So do most manufacturers. Unsold items are returned. What retailers don't do is tally up the sales of anything ( iDevices, Chips, Weetabix) per day and pay the manufacturer or wholesaler per day. They either pay, or are invoiced when the goods are delivered. If the goods don't sell they can get a refund, which is accounted for as a once off charge by the manufacturer. ( From then on the manufacturers will sell fewer items into channel hence the charge being "once off").

It doesn't remove the motion, just reduces it.
That's true. And with previous versions, apps would come in center screen, now the origin differs from said app, which can make it seem there's 'more' motion going on.
I meant to say they probably will - in future releases - disable this effect with the accessibility motion switch. Given the outcry it would be odd if they didn't.
It still pains me every time I go to Costco to see that they don't sell any Apple products, even though they used to at some point. I believe there was a big dispute because Costco wanted to resell all Apple products and Apple refused -- they only wanted to let them sell iPods and excess iMac inventory. As a result, now Costco has become one of the top resellers of Android phones and tablets. It's high time for Apple to start courting them again.

I could be wrong, but I think Apple and Costco couldn't come to an agreement because Apple wouldn't discount.
There is a problem with the vertigo; I saw firsthand someone experience it. It is there. It is not being overblown; if anything, lots of super fans are brushing it off. For the people who suffer from it, it is serious stuff. It is also something that has been known for years.
Those who already have problems with their eyes need to proceed cautiously towards OS7. They need to try it, first, for a while to see if it triggers their condition. If it does, they shouldn't update. But then they lose storage space on their current device because it automatically downloads the new OS.
For many who have updated, they face a serious situation. Continue trying to use OS7 and risk triggering their condition or switch platforms, losing money in the process. Apple could lose customers, and satisfaction ratings. (But, they are gaining lots of new young customers so for them, it's business...)
Or gee, you could simply turn it off under Settings. It's f-ing overblown.

I'm mostly with you on this, just like the change to FCP X which I bought but have never used in favor of my familiar FCP.
Hmmm... Had FCP for years but it went unused in favor of iMovie (old and new); FCPX came out and I can't get away from it and never touch iMovie.
Change is normal. Whether we jump on the wagon or not is another question. Personal preference dominates.
NB: I needed DVD Studio Pro which was packaged with FCP, thus the expense was OK. Studio was a premium back then...

Man, you gotta put down the coffee.

Ok I will try to use FCPx next project based on your recommendation as I respect your opinion on these matters.

Apple TV don't have USB port ...
It's found below the HDMI port.

Blackberry took a charge on that this quarter.

Two ways you could look at this.
1) Apple doesn't want to loose any profit from the sales.
2) Apple doesn't wish for a certain group of people being able to buy their products.
Well iPhones are sold in Walmart so that knocks #2 off the list.
People will and do, go to an Apple store to buy Apple stuff.

Apple should recall every single device that can run iOS 7. /s
