add to that all the major changes from ios 4 to ios 5 to 6 etc
they are bound to leave a few faults, that are found by the jail break crews
why does it bother some people here that jail breaking exists?

i can't speak to what the nsa has or has not cracked, but there are eleventy-billion ssh servers in use around the world ... i'll leave it to you to notify the people running them that they're in danger and should shut down their servers. the nsa getting into my iphone via ssh is probably toward the bottom of my list of worries. if they want in then they're probably already there or can get there without my having an ssh server on my ios device.
at&t doesn't care if my request for cspan.org comes from my iphone or ipad; what at&t cares about is that they're not getting an extra $20 a month (or whatever it costs these days) from me for letting me use all the data i pay for the way i want. i'm voting by jailbreaking and installing mywi.

And copy my ringtones back to the device, without needing to connect it to iTunes everytime.

I'm continuing to use my jailbroken 4S until there was a jailbreak for the 5S
and yes my 5S was not being used since day one
i restored it from iCloud backup when I got it
played with the touch id (very nice)
and left it as is since then till yesterday when I jailbroke it

I can understand this. I bought the 5S, like every other new iPhone on launch day. However, after using it for a while, I felt like I preferred my jailbroken iPhone 5 better. I didn't end up switching back fully, but can understand the desire to. I ended up using my jailbroken iPhone 5 quite a bit (just not as a phone) as there are many things I can do with it that I couldn't with a non-jailbroken iPhone 5S. There still are as many of the tweaks and apps aren't 64-bit yet.
This isn't unusual for me. I usually keep last year's iPhone jailbroken and in my backpack as a backup.
Oh, the irony. In their second letter (http://evasi0n.com/l2.html) they say that "We have refused all monies from Taig There have been a lot of rumors listing various amounts we%u2019ve been paid. We have received no monies from any group, including Taig. ..." Versus, in their first letter (http://evasi0n.com/l.html) "Yes, we have benefitted financially from our work, just as many others in the jailbreak community have, including tweak developers, repo owners, etc. Any jailbreak from us will always be free to the users but we believe we have a right to be compensated in an ethical way, just as any other developer. ..."
