That is indeed what I mean, those on the top and the bottom of the back of the device. To me they look like sealant to waterproof or something like that.
If they make the iPhone waterproof then Apple can't take my money quickly enough.

Nice, but doesn't have that ultra-sophisticated look of the iPhone 4 or 5. Looks good but in a more causal sense.

The stripes top and bottom are obviously necessary so no sense in complaining about them. Would it look better without them? Sure.

I may have been delusional, but it seemed like the screen mock ups in the keynote had long volume buttons(like this mockup). Sorry to lazy to look again..

Looks to be as thin as the iPod Touch.  If not for the SIM card slot I'd have thought maybe it is a new iPod Touch.  That might explain the round flash opening.  But clearly this would have to be the iPhone case.  So then the question becomes, how much battery can be fit in this thin case?  Yeah, it's longer and wider, but so too will be the energy-hungry display.  Should be interesting to see how this all comes together in the fall.
It looks just ugly. I like the 5 and 5s design.

Delusional. What screen mockups were in the keynote? Apple doesn't show mockups.

If this is what the final design looks like I'll be highly disappointed. It's essentially a bigger, phone version of a 2 year old iPod Touch. I don't believe Apple would let this happen. Honestly, I'm starting to think Apple is leaking these mockups to throw everyone off the scent of the real thing.

If Apple wanted to keep their up and coming new phones more secret all they'd need to do would be to make the enclosures in the USA.

This IPhone 6 or iPhone Air or whatever they end up calling it will be Samsung G5 Killer and with iOS 8 will be a new era on Apple Smart Phone technology.

If it's real, it looks like there is still an audio jack. So stop freaking out about proprietary headphones!

Really, then how did Apple get the units wrong for blood glucose level? Should be mg/dL, not mL/dL

The new design looks professional and sexy in this mockup from MacRumors:

I have faith Apple will polish the iPhone 6 off nicely.

I could be wrong, but I believe the "strips" on the back that wrap around to the front near the top and bottom are where the antennae will be. Doesn't look like they are wrapping around the outside anymore. So definitely necessary :-)

The 5C will likely hang around and replace the 4S as Apple's free on contract phone. A 6C likely won't arrive until next year.

I would assume Apple will treat the 5C like the iPods and update the colors at a minimum every 12 months.

    VERY TRUE.

This is Apple. No matter what country their products are manufactured in. there's always gonna be people too excited to keep a secret.

Tell me this was an ironic comment.
