I'll agree, Macintosh needs to be more patient, but he doesn't deserve the ridicule and bashing that he's getting. If it was me, I wouldn't put up for it for very long and just leave AI altogether. Why would anyone want to be constantly bashed like he is?
Macintosh, you do need to analyze what you post here. It can be, and has been perceived as whining. Nobody likes a whiner, right?
While you're waiting for your iMac, maybe you can find some sort of multi-day project to work on. Maybe work on that ONE thing you've been meaning to do, but haven't had the chance to start on. I don't know, but complaining here isn't going to score you many "points" with the other users. You can see that already.
Hey, to each his own, I guess. I'm in the same boat. I have a 400Mhz G3 Powerbook, which compared to Macintosh's coming iMac:
Lower processor
Half the Mhz
Less RAM
3" smaller LCD screen
DVD-ROM only
And I REALLY need a new computer for FCP & After Effects.
Macintosh -- and please don't take this as sarcasm because I'm asking an honest question -- but besides making those tribute videos, what do you do on your machine that's so processor intensive that it makes your wait for the iMac so critical?

hell he has a cube AND a new(er) iBook. Now he's getting a new iMac in addition to those and he doesn't even have to sell one of the others to get it. I think his father or brother also has a Jobs era mac..

i'd be ashamed of myself if i were making fun of anyone who didn't ask ? nay, beg ? for it. the fact that he is whining like this despite the fact that he already has more technology than half of us is extremely irritating. Did you see me crying like a fscking baby when I was waiting for my cube? hell no, because my other computer was hit by lightning and i had to EARN the money to buy a new one! i couldn't whine on here because i didn't have a computer to do it with!
