Just once I'd like to see someone like you say something like that in person. I'd like for you to get a sense of how people who make a choice you don't understand react to your insults. Perhaps if you did, you wouldn't behave like that here where you only get away with it because you hide behind a cloak of anonymity.

It's not okay for you to talk about other people like that.

The crap spewed by certain Samsung apologists and various shills in this thread are enough to make any sane person sick with their nausea inducing comments.

In my opinion, it doesn't really matter if Samsung has their announcement before, after or on the same exact date as Apple has theirs. Samsung continues to remain shameless copiers of the worst degree. A sub par, third rate, cheap Korean outfit that looks to Cupertino for inspiration, ideas and products to copy.

And when you add on the horrible mobile OS known as Android and combine that with Samsung phones, then you incredibly end up with something that is worse than the total sum of it's parts. You end up with complete garbage.

Samsung is a funny old thing.
They have a yearly Note release and drop the older version a year later.

The final stocks of the S3 are now on sale but it looks just plain foolish to remove this main Icon.
Wisdom would have an all new S3 on sales, so it is a real shame, the lack of it.

I cannot believe Samsung is copying Apple again. Apple invented the 5.5 inch screen with stylus and now Samsung is making one as well.

Samsung is looking to be ignored completely.  It is laughable.

The iPhone 6 is the mother of all upgrades.  Everything else will be obliterated.  Even the Internet will be clogged by all the news about it.

Come on. The date was known about BEFORE the leak of the Apple date. This is just the official announcement from Samsung. This post is such BS trying to stir something up that's not there.

Right because Apple hasn't been announcing the new iphone around he same time every year and Samsung doesn't have insider information based on it supplying some parts.

Hmmmm, so what your saying is, the stylus is used solely for typing. So the user puts it in their mouth while holding the phone with both hands and then starts pecking away like a chicken on meth. Huh, I guess it's good practice for us lady's, "honey, stop, not so fast, I told you I don't like the pissed off text to your mother manever, do the Angry Birds".

Well that's not entirely true, in 2007 Apple announced the first iPhone in June, while years before Samsung traditionally announced their stupid looking supposedly high end phones in September. Example in 2007 Samsung released their Samsung Giorgio Armani, 2006 was the SGH-i600, which wasn't so bad but I still preferred my Nokia Communicator. Oh, 2008 was the Samsung M8800, also their high end phone for that year. Take it as you will but Samsung had September before Apple or something like that, I don't know, Samsung sucks, yyyyaaaaaayyy???????? everyone happy again.

    This isn't rocket science...

Exactly. I don't like Samesung or their tactics. But this is a smart business strategy. Samsung has been refreshing this product according to this annual schedule. Most of the people that bought the Galaxy Note 2 and iPhone 5 at or near release date have contracts that expire in or around September 2014. The best way to gain new customers and keep the ones you have is to have a new alternative that is available when those contracts expire. Not everything is a playground pissing contest.

    It is.

Except they’re explicitly scheduling it against Apple’s announcements.

Right! Exactly what I said! Take everything out of context, quote only part of my statement, and ignore the FACT that Samsung was announcing on this schedule BEFORE Apple. There you have it...a playground pissing contest.

Nobody is denying that a pissing contest exists, but there are bigger, business-related factors that inform announcement dates. Seriously, I love Apple and I hate Samsung, but YOU should inform youself a little before making knee-jerk statements. Why do you think that Apple making announcements in a month that Samsung was already using constitutes Samsung "explicitly scheduling it against Apple's announcements?" Why is that not Apple explicitly scheduling against Samsung's announcements? And please, form a well-reasoned opinion before you reply.
