Aren't there already plenty of photo syncing controls in Settings » iCloud » Photos?
Well, that's all or nothing. I'm talking selective photo syncing. Normally the syncing is on for any photo that you take(again because I think the consumers prefer that). However, if I want to take some nude photos and don't want them going into the cloud, i should have an option to quickly enable private mode from the camera app.
I agree it's a non story in that iCloud probably wasn't hacked. However, the media keeps saying iCloud was hacked. Some of them aren't even saying "allegedly" anymore, they're just saying iCloud was compromised. The only way to stop this is for Apple to come out and say it wasn't hacked. This just goes to show that most media are just lazy and recirculate the same story between them instead of doing their own fact checking.
True. Media always jumps the gun to cash in on the most misery or biggest name. Its entirely possible that the images came from iCloud accounts but that doesn't mean that iCloud itself was hacked with brute force, etc. It could be that each of these stars use the same dumb password for all their online sites. So, someone could have hacked another service, etc and then discovered that they could access their iCloud account using the same credentials. There have been countless reports of sites hacked. Password info could have been obtained from another site affected by heartbleed, etc. I'll wait to pass judgement unlike the media.

The only way I am see that working is to have nothing auto-sync and then specifically go into your photo library to tell it to sync to iCloud or having a pop up after each photo to ask if you want to sync it to iCloud.
The nudity has to be a significant part of it. If they were just fully clothed holiday snaps, there would be nowhere near the same level of concern nor interest from the public.
That's not how they do it though, starting with memorable words and phrases cuts down the combinations significantly (maybe it can't strictly be called bruteforce but it's still using combinations):
The arstechnica link says the password cracker can bruteforce all the passwords that people used there in 65 seconds. Even with a slower cloud service, it could be done in a few days as long as it didn't slow down the password input.
Every cloud service should check login location to see if the location is suspect and if it's been used before. GMail does this and warns your backup email of the suspicious login. It should only allow a certain limit of logins before flagging it as suspect like 5-10 logins before email verification is required and have a delay between logins. There should be a certification for compliance too so people know what logins to trust but this doesn't stop the problem of password reuse and I still think passwords should be replaced entirely.
But then nobody would trust cloud services for anything important, which can't be the case. Online services run the entire world economy. Good security practises at least are expected.
Softcore models aren't pornstars but pornstars have a right to privacy. They elect to show you a predetermined scene but if someone leaked intimate pictures of them with their partners, that would be an invasion of their privacy.
Probably i was kinda harsh calling her prosti., but i was annoyed that another Ginger what's her name her account was hacked too, and I used her as an example that not all those "celebs" we're actually that popular, most of them probably they leaked those photos themselves just so they become popular

That will become annoying. I think a better way would be a second shutter button, not white but black, next to the Square, Pana and Video options. Of course, if one uses the volume button as the shutter it would need an option in Settings to you could have a default Yes or No to auto upload to iCloud.

Kind of like private browsing in Safari. That would definitely be less annoying than choosing after each shot.

...Dropbox is most likely suspect. Dropbox app uploaded every pictures you took on your iPhone. Most of the time without your knowledge.
Not if you go into the App's settings and disable it from doing that.
