I think I have just about had enough. I don't want a Micky Mouse watch.......I want an updated Mac Mini. Announce its availability in October or I'm outa here! Enough bullshit, keep your platform updated!

It will be fun to see what and how they announce things.

Can't tell you how often I put my thumb on my iPad mini home button expecting it to unlock like my iPhone 5s. Habits.

My wife's iPad 2 needs an upgrade, but that has less priority than the Apple Watch(es). When sufficient funds are available, I'll pull the trigger(s) on a new iPad for her.

I am going to move away from iMac desktops in favor of thunderbolt displays and mac mini and/or MBP machines to drive them. More flexibility, more options. But will only do that when the current 2009 iMacs give up the ghost. Lack of available quid for now.

I am holding out for a new AppleTV. The one I have is sufficient, even though it is a 2nd gen (720p) connected to a 1080p TV.

I really don't have a personal interest in a larger iPad. YMMV; I see why some folks might want.

Be cool if there was a hint of "stuff no one knows we're working on." And of course, an update on Apple Watch.

Here's a hint of the "stuff no one knows we're working on."

An ?WatchSock. A merino wool sock to cover your ?Watch. It serves three purposes:

It absorbs the sweat when you're working out.
    It looks colourful.
It saves you imposing the ugliness of the ?Watch on other people.

iPad components should be leaking out very soon

I wasn't aware of this issue. Is it the battery leaking? I'm sure Apple will do a recall if it's serious.

So Apple's new intro schedule seems to be:

    iPhones in September.
    iPads in October.
    Macs in November.

I understand that iOS devices are priority now. But for those of us that use Macs for real work, it's still disheartening.

What are we supposed to get excited about for the other nine months of the year?

    Nothing, I guess.

If only Apple were to being out another nine product categories, we wouldn't have this farcical situation.

The only people for whom the POS systems are necessary are those who don't have iPhones. If I don't have an iPhone, there's no advantage to a POS system that accepts payments from an iPhone. If I *do* have an iPhone, I just check out myself and don't use the POS system at all, so again, there's no advantage to a POS system that accepts payments from an iPhone.

But people aren't logical animals, so you're right, Apple will have to implement some form of Apple Pay POST or people will loudly bitch that the Apple Store doesn't accept Apple Pay!

I have the app and have used it a few times, but often I go to the Apple Store not knowing what I might decide to buy. In that case it is easier to just ask a sales associate to swipe my card than to log in and search for the item. My password on Apple is about three miles long and if you have 2 level security it can take quite a few minutes of typing on a tiny keyboard to get it done. I usually opt for the path of least resistance in those scenarios. Apple Pay is supposed to be a hassle free payment method which I would appreciate at the Apple Store.

I still use a iPhone 5 so no Touch ID.

Search? No search. Scan. Just point the iPhone camera at the bar code. Presto.

That's a big part (no pun intended) of why I want the new, bigger phone. Bigger keys.

As for doing the two-step, I thought it only asked for verification when a new device joins the family? It shouldn't make you enter anything but your P@s5w0rd if your phone is already authenticated, right? Or is there some other Apple Evil I'm not aware of entering into the scenario?

You gotta try it again. It is so painless and slick, and you don't have to endure the syrupy small-talk with the suspiciously WAAAY-too-happy-for-his-circumstances guy with the ring in his nose, sandals on his feet (different brand and style on each foot) and a bob of hair standing straight up from the middle of his otherwise shaved head who will regale you with tales of the many and myriad ways this new Lightning cable will enhance your journey through the universal continuum the way it did for his life partner.

Well I don't find the sales associates so repulsive but I don;t think you are going to walk out of the store with an iMac or a Mac Pro without talking to a pierced, tattooed, bad haircut sales associate.

My kids saw the new iPhone 6/+ on TV and immediately went bonkers about a new iPod Touch possibly coming. They're good little savers, and occasional electronics are the only things they really buy.

The Beats angle is interesting though. As some have suggested, they may break the iPod announcements off into a music & video event.
