I'm talking about download speed, you nut. With OTA update, it takes forever to download that damn 6GB instead using wired to get it faster. Just simple comment, why did you try to be an ass at this early of the day?

umm, you're not downloading the entire 6GB. That's how much space it needs for the install. The file ranges between 900KB and 1.3GB depending on your device.

Side note, we finally passed the verifying stage and are actually installing the update. 1 hour and 30 minutes in.

Servers must be overloaded.  I am getting 120 Mbps downstream from my ISP but have been able to access update on only my iPad 3 but not on my iPhone 5.  Also, I was not prepared to have to delete so much data to make room for the update.  Who knew?

In looking at my old apps, all seems good. Nice new interface.  May have lost a solitaire app.  Same number of songs and photos.  Need to eat lunch, then play around.

Will this thing be done by the time I leave work at 5pm EST?

Edit: 30 seconds later, now says 35 min remaining. Sh*t.

and for worse news... I did download it, verified the download, then it said I was 400mb short (4.2GB free, needed 4.6GB),   I cleared up that space, and when I went to restart, it's saying 'update requested'

I apologize in advance for downloading it twice.    Off to mow the lawn... with my iPod shuffle ;-(

edit... the 2nd download is going through iTunes... first via iPhone was 47 minutes.   This one started at 6... is at 4 minutes left now... I'm moving about 6MB/s (48mbps) through my internet connection.   That's spiffy.

I'll just wait until they push the update to my devices without my asking.

Took about an hour total. Everything looks good. I like "Hey Siri" functionality. More discovery to come. iPad Mini update still ongoing.

About an hour start to finish. No issues. USB via iTunes. Control Center looks different.

I'm going on about 2.5 hours and it still says "preparing update" (iPhone 5s).  On my iPad Mini - it downloaded much quicker and then said there was an error, so I had to start the process over again.  Annoyed

I've been trying for 2 and a half hours. I've tried downloading at least 20 times, OTA and wired through iTunes. It gets partially downloaded and then returns an error and I have to start over again. I haven't gotten past probably a 25% download.

iPhone 5S took 2 hours and 15 minutes start to finish over 11Mbps Wifi.

All of my photos are gone. Apple rep says they will begin uploading within the next 60-90 min into my phone. Is she full of it/am I screwed?
