I haven't seen Cook's internal targets, but I bet they're closer to 20 million than 10 million for the Apple Watch. His coyness in not wanting to reveal sales figures is a terribly obvious admission of defeat on his part.
Keep trolling. Apple rarely announces what it hopes to get in new markets. You have no clue what the internal targets are.
I want it to be clear that [@]Benjamin Frost[/@] has said that selling more units than the iPad did its first year and over 2.5x what the iPhone sold its first year would classify ?Watch as disappointing. Those are first year sales of 15MM to just under 20MM… for an accessory whose ultimate goal is to help strengthen the iPhone. Let's also remember the iPhone sold 6.x Million in its first 4 quarters on the market.

In the interests of clarity:
10 million or fewer: failure.
11-14 million: disappointing.
15 million: a success, though slightly disappointing.
16-19 million: a success.
20 million or more: a triumph.

In the interests of clarity:
Almost double the iPhone: failure
Double the iPhone: disappointing
Same as the iPad: disappointing
More than the iPad: slightly disappointing.
3x the iPhone: success, but not a triumphant success
Now doesn't that sound ridiculous to you since this is an accessory device?
You do realize that your minimum non-disappointing success at 16 million with the bottom retail price of $349 is almost $6 billion.
Now, how many established CE products in established markets make $6 billion a year or over $2 billion in profit?
You've added "though slightly disappointing" to the 15 million mark.
Plus you've added some extra categories... I guess to fine tune the difference between failure, disappointing, slightly disappointing, success (which has been increased from 15 million).

The iPhone is on course for, what, 250 million sales this year?
So you're predicting that sales of 750 million Apple Watches in its first year would be a success, but not a triumphant success.
Why so pessimistic? That would be a triumph in my books, to put it mildly. It would certainly add to Apple's bottom line! Revenues of $300 billion plus are not to be sniffed at.
I don't think that even Tim Cook, in his wildest dreams, imagines that Apple could achieve that. Maybe if they dropped the price to 99 cents.

In my earliest thoughts, I did, in fact, refer to 15 million as slightly disappointing, but left that term out in later times for simplicity. However, that has always been my learned view.
Note that I still regard 15 million as a success, just a guarded one.

How is that disappointing? Tell you what, I'll consider you a success once you make $15 MM a year. Otherwise you're a failure.
my neighbor's half-sister makes $62 /hr on the computer . She has been without a job for 6 months but last month her check was $15832 just working on the computer for a few hours. check out here........... %u279C%u279C%u279C%u279C%u279C www.netjob70.com

This is idiotic. 10 MM would be a solid double off the top of the wall.

Fixed that for you.
Frost is a brit. I don't think he's going to get the baseball reference.
Ok. It's like having one beer instead of two beers. Or having Matt Smith as the Doctor over your favorite. Again, still good but not great.
Why is the outcome only binary: mega-hit or failure.
A lot of people say Smith is their favorite Doctor. Since the reboot I can say he is my least favourite, but as you say, still pretty good.
PS: Fezs are not cool.
Why can Tinkerbell only hold one emotion at a time?

You've tweaked that a bit in the last couple of months.

I don't believe so, not materially, at any rate.

Regardless of anything...
Even if Apple only sells 3 million Apple Wrist Computers, they are not going to throw in the towel.

A sweatband? I hadn't thought of that.
If sales are struggling, they might throw in an accessory, don't you think?

Would that include everyone... including yourself?
